There is no link back to the index from the help page, ok there is (link at bottom left) but if you change the 'help' link on the help page to 'home' it may be easier.
The index isn't to bad but am thinking the sections kind of need seperating a little, not sure how as lines etc would make it to full.
The postion of the pop-up could be moved to the middle of the screen, also a bit bigger, is pretty small on 800x600 so must be tiny on bigger screen sizes.
The tournament screen shot could be in a pop-up instead of a new page
I like the caclulator itself, especasilly the "Dock window" feature. I had never seen that on a site before.
The icons would be nice if there was little descriptiont that popped up when I hover over them. Aso, when I reset the board, visually the "used cards" didn't come back. (However, when i moved the mouse over them, they showed back up properly.)
Very interesting site, going to show it to some people I know who are big on stuff like that.
You are exactly right about the link back to the home page. I spent about 1,000,000 hours building the calculator, so by the time I started the homepage I was a little burned out. I expected some careless errors like that.
I am going to change the information in the middle of the index page and it will consist of a highlighted background. That should break up the sections enough (I hope).
I never really thought about the positioning the popup onLoad. That is a good idea and I will definately do that.
The size of the popup is as small as possible on purpose. If others think it needs to be bigger, that is easy to do, but smaller makes it easier to keep open when you have an online poker table open also. Anyone else have any input on the popup size?
The screenshot popup is just another lazy tactic by me. I guess I was hoping noone would notice, but it is sloppy. I will be changing that soon also.
The dock window feature is something that I came up with. I'm sure someone else has done it, but I have never seen it also. It's amazing what 8 or 9 lines of javascript can do. Let me know if you want it and I can post it for you. Very easy to use!
Hi, I have 2 disabled children and have also home schooled my other 2 children at times in the past so needless to say I've spent a lot of time on educational sites. It looks like it would be really cute and I like the way it's set up, but I couldn't get it to work right. The load and create chanllanges seemed to be the same either way. Every time I did one it came cleared everything again. I couldn't make it go to a next one and no matter if I put the right or wrong answer in it just had the animated animal nothing else happened. Perhaps I did something wrong. I'm using Netscape.
A lot of work has been put into oddscalc.com recently. A couple of new functions are available. The tool will now show you the % you have of winning with your pocket cards based on the number of players at the table. It also has a summary section to display the hand strength based on the cards selected.
BIG UPDATE - A lot of people have asked for an undo button. It is now available.
Let me know if you find any bugs. It is pretty late and a lot of changes have been made.
Thanks.
Gupp - I think you were looking at artofmath.com instead of oddscalc.com. Try one of my other sites (freemathtest.com). I think it might help you create challenges for your children. Thank you for the feedback on artofmath.com. I will research that when I have time.
Don't forget to sign up for the free tournaments listed on the homepage. I will be putting up my own money as cash prizes. Probably only $50 for the first one, but that will change as more people sign up.

I think everything has been fixed... including the card images returning on reset.
Any suggestions of what I should do to make this better? Any poker players out there?
