HI EVERYONE... please check our new site, all opinions welcome.
Before you point out the most obvious problems:
- The surrounding graphic is missing (table sides)
- The logo is well ... blah.
We are already aware of this! But please generally, how does it look? We're going for an uplifting, exciting, and humorous look/feel/color scheme.

I quite like it in general, although not sure about the logo & cow! As there is no content it's hard to tell if this is 'the worlds best fun stuff site on the Net'

Site definitely is better at 800*600 as the main left hand table stretches as you have it set at 67%

Looks like one border of that table is bigger than the other if the lines match up with what's there already???

I don't like the orange on orange and where you have no margins the copywrite bit hits the side of the browser.

Don't center text!!

Overall very good

Eek! Too much orange! Definitely do something about that so it doesn't look so gaudy at higher resolutions. You know the logo is bad... my latest often given piece of advice is to never use the 6 basic brights. They always look hideous.

I do like what you've done with the navbar - it would be nice if that was on the left side so it would get more attention, especially since all you've got on the left now is that bad logo and a little bit of boring text. The text on menu looks really fuzzy to me so you should fix that too.

Now, about that text. First of all, never center paragraphs of text. Secondly, you should have more here. Maybe put something up about new additions or most popular features or something like that. That text is too small too, I can hardly read it.

I'm also seeing some itty-bitty white text on orange at the top, and some orange text on orange at the bottom neither of which I can read.

View Source tells me you have frames. I don't see any frames???

The frames are set at 100,*
I think they use this mainly to keep the url from changing, but since you are using asp pages there isnt much need also the page they end up on is the non frames page anyway - hmmmm

wheres the beef? hehe sorry had to say it, old tv advert ...

Its bright, thats for sure

the "nutty fools" logo doesnt look like a logo, looks kind of just placed there, but you've mentioned that ...

In your source code your using mouseovers, but nothing does, is it meant to be the joke of the day, cartoon of the day etc?, ok doesnt work in Net4.7 but the "joke of the day" one does in IE, none others work

I think everyone has really mentioned everything, the orange, 100% beef icon, very hard to read link buttons (joke of the day etc)

the copyright notice is default text in Net4.7 as well, but orange in IE

Id be very interested in seeing the end result of this site but only if the colour is tamed down a bit, that orange could get really hard on the eyes after a while.

Personally, I like it...alsways nice to see some different colors being used...I think the orange is toned down enough that it wont be a problem. Navigation is simple and easy to find. I like the cow logo...perhaps, in the spirit of the site, you could make it look like a neon sign and provide a bit of animation for it. The only piece of advice I would offer is that the site is flat...everything appears to be layed on a common plane with no depth variation. Personally, I like to see some differentiation of depth. Maybe the addition of some drop shadow type effects to make the white text area appear inset and the logos and menus "pop out" more. Good job so far!

Thank you everyone for your opinions... very useful indeed! I'm happy some of you liked the colors, I was going for different... I agree with most of your comments, as for the HTML problems, these will of course all be fixed before any launch. People who noticed the frameset, it is there to hide the path(s) of the site... and the frame is built in asp, but only for browsers that support it(we use server side detection). We use this instead of a redirect for several reasons...the most important being thats how our hosting system works. So we really have no choice. Anyways, I'll keep you all posted when we make any updates.
