Hey, I'm new and think this forum is awesome. Also I just want to get some input on what people think about this site. I'm not positive if it looks good, so any constructive critism is appreciated on the design aspect.

Sorry about that, I have just finished reviewing 3 other sites as agreed to in the "posting agreement." I just figured I would toss my review up real quick then review some other sites. Again sorry.

Thans for the reviews. You were probably doing them as I was posting the above! Wink

OK your site. First impressions is why the splash page? Its not immeadiatly obvious as to the significance of the two entry logos at the bottom. It appears to me to be two versions of the saem site? If this is right then that explains the splash page...

Ah no I see its for mens and womens! See what I mean though? Its not obvious...

Checking out the guys store as I'm a bloke, I really like that front image with the hand, maybe work that into the header? The use of Times New Roman as your font is not the best choice. There are very few sites that can carry it off so maybe use Vedana or Tahoma instead...

When I goto look at the clothing line a new window is opened up. Why? No need to do this as apart from confusion it could create, there is no easy way to get back to the main site.

The overall impression is that the site is quite dark and gloomy and doesn't really reflect the style of clothes you are selling.

Minor points that are all easily corrected IMHO Smiling

Firstly, try not to underline text if they are not links, it creates confusion for the user. They will usually try to hover over (and at times click on the text) thinking that it links to somewhere.

Guys section:
Does the text really have to be an image? It slows down loading time and makes it harder for search engines to find it.

Girls section:
Eh, the same as with the guys section, try not to use images as text.

I feel like there is some inconsistancy with the site. The front page and the guys section looks so dark and dull, while the girls section looks bright and lively.

Thanks for the comments, I totally agree with your suggestions but I couldn't quite put my finger on it until now. I'll definately make some changes and have you guys check it out.

The full colored hand really takes away from the lighting added to the logo. I will suggest changing the hand to a b&W and changing the logo to colors. Alos, please remember that nowadays people have pop up blockers, and if you can get away from pop up windows, it will be better (specially for you shopping cart).

Also, I should agree on the confussion on the logos @ the bottom.

The colors and layout are nice.

I agree with the above about splash pages. Also, I completely ignore splash pages and look for the quickest way out. The quickest way out was the large 'ENTER', so I clicked on that. Nothing. Then I figured out that I was supposed to click on the symbols without know quite what they were for. Not good.

On to the first symbol, ... and still no content. What is keeping me here? Still have no idea what this is about beyond it's something about clothing. "Naarai is just in its first year of development..." this doesn't sound right when it's talking about clothing.

This splash page is really confusing. I'm sitting here wondering what the heck I'm supposed to do. There are several ways to enter the site and I have no idea which one I'm supposed to pick. What is the significance o the "n" and the butterfly at the bottom? If those have some sort of meaning I have no idea what it is. I also have no idea what "The Underhand Advantage" is and why I would want to read it (or why there are two links to it...)

Oh, and I'm also seeing all that text centered in Times New Roman. That has go to be a mistake!

I'll click on the butterfly, since I like butterflies. I'm thinking this must be the womens section - right choice for me. Overall not a bad design but needs some fine tuning. The photos of the models need some colour adjustment, they look too dark. The side menu should have hovers, and I think a sans serif would be a better font choice (and you could do that whole thing in HTML with css, no need for images).

Now, looking at what is actually on that navigation menu, there doesn't seem to be a lot of actual product content! Why have separate mens and womens entrance portals when you're going to duplicate the information? More emphasis should be placed on the products. It might be best to have separate menus for your administrivia and your product lines.

So I click on products and now I get another choice between men and women. What ?!? Going back, I see what's gong on now. The "n" and the butterfly are two completely different designs. Getting back to the product page, once I get in to the actual product pages I completely lose the surrounding design!

I'll stop now. As you can see, I'm having a really hard time navigating this site and getting to the product. You need to totally rethink the way this site is set up. It's not working at all. There are some touchess of greatness with the butterfly and n logo designs but it's so overwhelmed with navigation problems that it doesn't do much to improve the overall impression.

Sorry my friend, but I do not belive that your index page is effective. It should draw people in and make them want to explore and learn more about you and what you offer, in your case clothing. Instead yours makes users think before you even have their attention, this may make many potential customers leave your site. See what you can do there. I reccomend listing some benifits.

Also I think your site is rather hard to navigate and confusing. Maybe have text links on every page at the bottom.

Hi, the same as everyone im confused, are there two versions of the site, is one for women one for men? Your initial pages llok quite good, but you are using alot of space with the images. as has been said dont underline u links, use a style to differentiate between links and mouse over events on the links. i think u should carry on the site theme to the product page and others, this gives a user the opourtunity to go back to other pages on the site. Youll definitely attract my attention tho with bmx's and nice lookin women on the site!!!! One thing i do like your logo's tho alot of thought seems to have gone into them. Overall the colour scheme is ok, just follow the theme thorugh and make the user understand where they are going in the site.
