This is my first attempt at web-site building, I have done this for my partner so the colour scheme is her choice, but let rip with any comments and suggestions you have.
Thanks in advance, Ray. karmacolors.nl
ps, remember that every one was new to website building once, be gentle Sad

Hi

Here's a few areas that need some work, in my opinion

- title is very long, probably better to just stick with company name
- the home page is a design contradiction: things are hugely spaced out, yet you use a space-saving scrolly-text area?
- the first screen has zip info, nearly lthe same for the second
- "welcome..." is outdated
- "bravenet" screams 'amateur' to me
- centering should be used sparingly
- not really keen on the gray/pink combo at top
- drop-shadow button navigation at the bottom of the page, but the button names are below?
- displaying a hundred images for each page isn't what I'd call a good design. text should be text! find a good site on css.

Hope this helps.

-I don't like how big the first page is. I have to scroll to far to get to your links. Inconvenient. I'm a lazy American, you have to account for me too.
-The left side of the image boundry that you have is to jagged at the little crease thing. It just looks awkward to me.
-The image at the top is cool but could be better placed.
-The links should be up somewhere where they can be seen at all times. Navigation is very important.
-color choices and buttons look good.
-Content is good the product is really being sold. Make it a little more profesional looking and you'll be set. (You have an advantage in that you show your work which is good. That gives you instant credibility regaurdless of the quality of the website)

I'm not sure but it may just be me. It took a few seconds ( 10 or so) for the index page to load....maybe just internet lagg on my part but if this happens for you also you may want to fix that....by the way Im on a cable modem... I like the unique layout that is always a PLUS in my opinion. The bravenet counter you should get rid of. If possible use some other type of web traffic analysis program. I am would guess you pay for hosting maybe your host has a free stats program you can use.

Thanks very much for all advice so far, I will work on suggestions and when finished I will post for another review, pmj7 could you please explain in a bit more detail what you mean about - (zip info) and (nearly a hundred images) on each page.
Thanks again, the results was not as bad as I expected.
Ray.

Hi Ray

When I bring up your web site, with a 1024x768 screen, all I see before scrollling is "Welcome to Karmacolors". Info on that first screen of your site before scrolling: zip, zero, nada, zilch. Scroll down one page and you get a few sentences.

Here's some of the code I was talking about:

<div style="position:absolute; left:57px; top:948px; width:26px; height:48px;">
    <img src="img3865.jpg" width="26" height="48" border="0" title="" alt=""></div>
<div style="position:absolute; left:58px; top:1000px; width:25px; height:48px;">
    <img src="img3866.jpg" width="25" height="48" border="0" title="" alt=""></div>
<div style="position:absolute; left:58px; top:1051px; width:26px; height:48px;">
    <img src="img3867.jpg" width="26" height="48" border="0" title="" alt=""></div>

Finally, try and drag your mouse on the text of your web pages. In most cases nothing happens because it's not really text, the text has been converted into a graphic.

I have done it vibins, I must admit that it is much better than Bravenet, at the moment the counter is on every page but I will sort that out later so it is only on the home page.
Thanks for the tip and the link.
Cheers, Ray.

Alrighty .. the two sides (the black background with pink neonish stripes) need to be the same size and maybee put all the white to black. And also a bottom like the sides might not be a bad idea.
