Well, what do you think?
Any suggestions?
I am trying to promote it a lot right now. See any avenues that maybe I missed?
Thanks,
Brandon

Hi, Brandon, per the posting agreement, would you give other people critiques as well, please? The more you help them, the more they will help you.

Well, it appears to be a standard nuke site. Is that a customized skin?
Its hard giving advice on nuke sites because they usually just have standard skins on them. By criticizing one php nuke site, you essentially criticize them all.

I agree. They also seem to focus more on member services rather than real content. Where is the real content here? There is one navbar item that contains actual content!
I've been looking at this site for a few minutes now and I have a quite strong impulse to leave. Nothing about it is inspiring or engaging to me. But I'm a woman, so you may choose to disregard this (since I'm not part of your target audience). The layout is boring, the colour scheme is extremely dull. The logo is nice, I'll give you that much.
I would also consider leaving the political aspect out of it. You may lose a lot of potential members because of that, and it isn't a necessary part of your content range. But then again, you could say that by including your political views you are narrowing your target audience to people who have the same beliefs as you do. On the other hand, you could get some nice debates going about those topics if you don't pre-define what the site believes. Controversial debates = more forum activity = more members = a more active, lively community. *If* you can keep it civilized. Anyway, the only reason I'm including this in my critique is because this was one of the reasons why I was turned off by your site.

I have to agree with megan, she is right on and I'm a guy. I thought most of the saite was fine as far as the look. Some things I might have done different but I gues thats true for everyone. The part that bothered me was the "POINT". while i was looking at the site, the actual point of the site didnt come easy to me. If those words are what I'm searching for. It's like, this is nice, but what am I doing here?
There wasn't enough of a compelling reason for me to stay, merely visit. You need to find a magnet.
You r on the right track though, but I admit, this is a toughy to call.

Definately agree that it is a bit uninviting. The colour scheme is bland, and the logo is well, awful.

Why not do the site in CSS? The layout is begging for it.
The structure are navagation are good, and its easy to work one's way around.
The website completely falls apart when opened in mozilla firefox, an increasingly popular, standards compliant browser. It becomes really wide and annoying.
The bottom footer is unreadable, in both IE and FireFox.
The site just needs a boost in terms of design. (And a new logo!)

Good PHPNuke site, only the banner needs some work. The theme is catchy too.

Up to date and informative.
Don't like the color though, the red text on the grey look wrong somehow.
The scrolling text is very annoying!
Well put together though and lots of potential.

Looks like every other phpnuke site. Nothing grabs me. The logo at the top should blend with the background. It looks like it was put there as an afterthought. Font size was a little small, but I have a wide screen laptop and I'm used to it.
Content is well organized though.

Nice website. It would probably look better with a bit more color and some graphics in the header though. I think that just using a colored background in the header would liven it up.
