There have been no answers to this question for a couple days, so I would say:
What is the perfect website...that depends.

P.S. I don't think such a beast exists, it is way to objective.

It depends on many factors, so many that perfection seems unreachable.
The perfect websites has completed the evolutionary process. I dont think that there is a top stage for evolution but if you wanna reach it, it might take a while.

I like to consider a good website to be one that is visually spectacular. There are not too many of them around as most of the WWW is filled with meaningless crap. Anyway here are some decent sites:-
phong.com
ozones.com
topazdesigns.com
gamespy.com

More than visually spectacular, a site has to be useful and intuitive. Sites that I like include...
http://www.webmonkey.com/
- The main page sets the mood of the whole page; visually nice, contains suitable gadgetry, very colourful. The inner pages keep the same techie-chic look, while being very fast and making information easy to find.
http://www.theonion.com/
- Very much like the suburban newspapers it parodies; it's not original, it's an imitation, but it's a very good imitation.
http://www.salon.com/
- There is an incredible amount of information packed on these pages, but it remains clean. It manages to be both easy to find what you want, and very easy to notice something and go off on tangents, reading 15 articles.
