What do you think of my site?
Hi,

First thing I notice - that "BDVNet Home" link in the very top left corner needs a non breaking space before it - it's crammed up too close to the edge of the window there. The "sponsored" links at the bottom need a little bit of space on the left too.
Otherwise it looks really good. Nice colour scheme, nice layout. This style of layout is very common on the web these days, but you've managed to break it up with some diagonal lines and a different arrangment of boxes. You need to be more consistent with those diagonals though - the part for the news section with the yellow and grey lines up perfectly, but the "tools and resources" ones don't. They should both line-up. On the left side they all look a little funny too.
Alright, I'm reading a little bit in the "About Us" section (because I wanted to know what BDV stands for) and you need to work on your grammar here. Either use first/second person (We at BDVNet strive to provide you with...) or third person (BDVNet strives to provide its visitors with...). You've kind of got a mix of both in here. First/second person is usually better for these kind of things I think - it's more personal. The text has a very awkward feel I think - that's a big turn off for me in an information based site like this one. Maybe that's just me though.
These pop ups are very annoying as well...

Hi,
I also liked the design.
I think you should explain what BDV stands for somewhere next to the logo (at least in the first page). I also went to the "about us" to check (didn't find it there either).
I also think you should improve the style. Other than the We/They problem, you should opt for shorter simpler sentences. In some places even try to use a bulleted list instead of a paragraph. I once read that sentences written for web presentaion should never exceed 14 words.
I use a paid editor for my cat site articles(www.thecatsite.com - not published yet). Her comments are very important and I think the style, grammar and all the rest are much better for it.
And yes - the pop-up windows are especially annoying cause they jump into other windows you're using as well. When I went "back" in your site to look at something and then switched back to this window (TWF), I couldn't write anything because the pop-up showed up her.
Since you already have a domain name, maybe you would consider getting a paid hosting account?
Good Luck!
Anat.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, I like your idea's and I have changed some of it on my website. And about the ads, I hate them too, and I will be removing them some time.
Thanks again for you comments,
Boomshanka

Well done. Now, as for me, I really don't care what the heck BDV stands for. It's a great looking site and with a few (ok one change) it can be AWESOME!
1. Please get rid of the popups or put them on a javascript control so that they only pop up once per session, or every 24 hours or something like that. It drove me nuts to watch them come up everytime.
2. content look sgreat.
3. nice color scheme.
4. did I mention to get rid of the popups?
