I feel like a moron. I thought I deleted that index.html file. Ok, well, the stupid thing works now.

There's a lot of good stuff there.

Suggestions:
please add width and height attributes to your img tags so the page doesn't leap around as it loads.
Copyright is important - your copyright notice would be easier to read if it were just text, not a fuzzy image.
The menu 'text' is pretty fuzzy - try an anti-aliased look which should be clearer.
Your font size choice may make this a really tough page for Mac users.
There are a good numbers of typos in several of the pop-up pages.

Don't tell us all that your team only learned to do all this stuff so recently. Doesn't matter whether you learned it years ago or this afternoon. Just let your work speak for itself.

As I said, there are a lot of good points there and a little clean up considering what I noted above will work wonders:)

I get a 404 error. Probably just my connection. I will try again later if I have the time.

Thanks for your comments.

I agree, the copywrite is fuzzy. It needs a different font.

Height and width are already part of 2.0 Smiling

The menu text was made that way, but I will look into it.

Font size? Something that I don't know about macs??

I am aware of the typos. I am going to spellcheck and read over 2.0 very heavily. I am not such a great speller..

Again, thanks!

I just changed the spelling and added width/height tags to most images

I liked the site. Only have one suggestion.

You might want to have all the links on top change the page in the same manner. Either all of them should open a new window or change the page in the current window. (I would go with opening a new window as some of the links work better that way. ie the chat room.)

I like that idea. With the next version we will pick one size of new window and use it for each link.

Oooh! Nice! Best site I've seen today.

You definitely need to increase your font size on the home page. It's hard enough to read on my PC here - it's probably illegible on a Mac (which renders fonts smaller than PC's). The nav text across the top is hard to read too. It looks like some of it was squished horizontally.

If you're going to change the default font to sans-serif, do it across the board (if you're feeling lazy just use css to do that).

I really really like what you've done with the headers on here. They're all in the same style so it's effective for branding, but the way they change from page to page adds a lot of interest. It might be good if you could add "Laguna's Jukebox" in a smaller font underneath the main header, and some of those photos are a little too dark and faded. I also really like the effect you've used on the text there.

Oh, one more thing! I find myself saying this a lot lately. The picture on the left side of the main page should be flipped the other way so the guy is looking into the site, not off the edge. It will help to lead the eye towards your content rather than away from it.

Great job!

Yes, wouldn't want those web surfers staring at the left part of their monitor. Laughing out loud

Hey guys. Well, since you all are giving such great comments, heres what the next version has come out to be: http://jukebox.3dstream.net/beta/index2.shtml

As of now it will NOT work in netscape. We plan on re-writing the code. This is not the final. Its just an early design we have been working on. The images are also uncompressed, but they will be. So...

Oh no! You've made the 'Mike Fisher's NO-NO's of Web Design, and How to Make a Cookie' no-no number...umm...two.

The design itself is great, except for three things:

1). That menu is stagnant while the rest is active. Make mouseovers, and it'd look a lot better.

2). The first [upper] part of the page looks great, but the rest just looks too bland. I usually solve this with making a [non-scrolling] background image so that at least your visitors have something pretty to look at.

3). NO XENOGEARS?! YOUR LIFE IS FORFEIT! [Just kidding.]

1. The only problem with that is I have NO idea how to pre-load the images. Mouseovers without preloaded images plainly SUCK.

2. Agreed. I have looked into this. Im not sure what I plan on doing.

3. Its a junky game anyway (just kidding)

...She..she...she...she said Xenogears was -junky-?! Oh.. I think I'm going to faint..

Anyways... I skipped through a javascripty place, and found this:

Ok Ok, Calm Down... act like Gentlemen...
The new site looks good except for it isnt that great looking in IE5. The images at the top are puller apart.. I have a 800 by 600 res
But other than that, the site looks great/the new one.
