Here are some quick points:
1. Don't like the embossed effect on the main content box. However, the sidebar with categories looks great.
2. "What's new here" should be white text. I would consider a different title, however.
3. You need a brief paragraph describing the site, what you sell, specialties, etc.
4. Logo should be larger, positioned in a more prominent place. It's just kind of stuck up in the top left corner, and it seems awkward.
5. The color scheme is okay, it could be better. You want the colors to be subtle and draw the user to the important elements. You have this light blue-gray color and dark blue color. I would maybe swap them and try the dark blue as page background and make the light blue-gray the color of the content box and sidebars.
Overall, nice job though, I'm just giving you points to make it even better. I can appreciate the osCommerce integration/customization as I have had my share of frustrations working with it.
Good luck.

I agree mostly with benj
I also find the dark blue too intense to permit friendly viewing of the content - I would go a shade bluer perhaps than the grayish bg color - or a swap as benj suggested.
A descriptive paragraph is essential for SEO
Also page titles should have some descriptive keyword-rich text - then the site title. Every page should have a unique page title (in browser title bar).
You do not use SEO meta tags, while meta keywords are debatably useful, the meta description is used by Google and other search engines in the listing.
I am used to seeing the doctype declaration with different capitalization, not sure if it matters, instead of
<!doctype html public "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
I would recommend<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
You may want to build with XHTML and table-less layout next time, could load faster. All those tables make it difficult to edit by hand.
The breadcrumb and links are a bit too small for old
f*rtsfolks like me to read easily. There should be "Add to Cart" links on every product view, including the front page.
In all, a better job than many "pros" - keep up the good work!

I do like the blue, and swapping the blue and the background may look even better.
The header seems to have empty space. I like the design, but the point of the page is to show off the artwork enough for someone to want to buy it. The less need to scroll, the better.
Not bad at all for an academic project.

Very well constructed site, both conceptually and graphically. The neon blue may not be the right color for some people, but at the same time if you're happy with it then stick with it.
