Hi all.

Well, I'm just really interested to know (well what's this forum for anyway) what can be done to improve on the site...my second one!

Oh yeah...just on the even more interested side of me...how much would such a site cost a regular client. I really don't have any experience on this and would just like to hehe tell myself that I can make a living just by making websites.

Laughing out loud

ps(some images have yet to be finalized)

Do not ask about specific prices - that's price fixing and it's illegal. You might want to try looking around at freelance sites and see what other people are charging that way. We just can't talk about it on a board like this.

I'm getting a 404 right now - I'll try back later I guess.

The intro isn't really bad, but I think you should have it start right away - get rid of the "Continue" button. Something also has to be done about that picture in the background - I can't really tell what it is. A short sound file might be a nice addition. It might be a good way to give people a feel for what kind of music they deal with. (BTW, it might be a good idea to have a page about the company - who they are, how they got started, stuff like that)

The first thing that strikes me about the main page is that there's too much text. Something minor, like separating each of those updates with a date, might help.

The second thing I notice is that your logo is too small. You want people to know who you are when they're on your site, so make it big! You also might want to consider moving it to the left - that's kind of a standard now. People know to look for a logo in the left corner.

The menu is kind of nice - I like the font you've chosen, but the images look a tad bit fuzzy to me - maybe it's just a lack of colour contrast. If the font was a little clearer, and you had ALT tags in there you wouldn't need the plain text menu underneath it - put that on the bottom of every page.

Otherwise it's not too bad - it seems like you've captured the character of the company well, and I think that's very important.

hell yes you said it! i knew there was something missing, and it was the ABOUT page! hehe. thanks.

oh the background, well hehe it was scavenged from my earlier years on the net; dont even know where i got it from. im REAL bad at designing backgrounds.

yeah ive been thinking of the logo too..just the fonts dont look right with the logo on the left. and bigger? hmm...thanks anyway ill keep that in mind whie i try to improve that.

should i use SSI for the links at the bottom? maybe JS? or just plain old html? is there any performance difference?

alt text on flash buttons? huh?

thanks again!

I don't know why I didn't realize those are flash buttons. Plain HTML will probably be fine for the plain text navigation.

hi again.

hey megan do you know if JS can be parsed within...urr..JS?

Like for example, in script01.js, the lines are:
-----------------
function writeThisOnEveryPage(){
document.writeln('<script type="text/javascript">alert("I'm totally irritating you with this popup thing.")</script>');
-----------------

And in every html page:
-----------------

<script src="script01.js></script>

<script>writeThisOnEveryPage();</script>

-----------------

Will there be any implications if it *does* work? I need to know, so that I can just add in the SITEMETER(.com) code into my JS, since I do have a script writeln at the bottom of every page! Oh yeah not forgetting those html links.

Thanks.

oh yeah sorry one more thing. how do i specify the root of the site in a hyperlink? i know u could use ~/ in UNIX, but HTML?
