Unique Design needs critics - B-tech universe
I runa battletech site with a pretty unique design. I dont plan on changing it any time soon but i would like comments, suggestions and critics, about design, load time and quality. If you have any ideas for a new design they would be greatly appreciated.

The text is hard to read on both the blue on black, red on blue (banner), and red on red (nav bar).

Hi Ken,
I would say along the lines of what Brian says that the italics make the text even harder to read. that's a really big dose of italics for one page.
love the aged looking timeline but that text too could be darkend up a little bit---there is a funny looking black corner above that timeline that looks a little like something got cut off or isn't quite finished, would look nice if it flowed into the brown on the top.
take care,
