Can I just ask why you want to make people click on the "[x]" to vist a link in your navigation? Why not just link the word(s)? It's probably fine the way you have it now, it just takes some getting used to and you may just end up making people leave because of it.

The text on your site is so small, perhaps increase the font size a bit? Users don't really want to squint to read your content Sticking out tongue

The font looks fine in Firefox, but it is a bit small in IE. I would make it one size bigger Smiling

I agree about the X's ... It's not a bad idea, it just takes some getting use to. I personally wouldn't do it because it's not very guest friendly. If you really want to go that route though then I would make the X's bigger and a different color.. Maybe blue or something to show that they link.

Design wise I think it looks fine. It's clear and easy to read. But it wouldn't hurt to add more color and images imo.

The content is kind of lacking.. Not much there.. And your forums aren't working either.

It's too basic, too simple , too small.. i agree that font does look good in firefox , the header also looks good, i like it.

Why do i have to click on the X and not the text in your navigation ?
Why do you use frames ?
Why dont you have a DOCTYPE ?

I hate frames, you use them well, but they're still frames. I'd lose them if I were you. Contrary to Studioworks, I don't think there's anything wrong with simplicity. I think that the look of the site is good. You do, however, need a doctype and as I said before you should probably look into losing the frame if possible.

You do have one MAGOR design flaw. You're site leaves huge spaces on either side of the screen with no content. You have space, use it.

Design & Header: Traditional Japanese sites, not American-influenced, typically utilize this tactic as a mode to attract users, with a basic design and a nice header.

Doctype & the X's: This again leads back to anime's roots, the original, official Tenchi Muyo website, back in 1997, utilized the X's as the primary navigational links, and to preserve that site's operation for fans, I did the same. At the moment, I do not believe a DOCTYPE is necessary.

Forums & Font Size: I was tweaking the new forum system a bit yesterday so I took it offline, sorry for any inconveniences that may have caused you. As for the font, it is what makes the site flow nicely, because it's supposed to be 'tiny,' it works.

Thanks for your nice remarks on...
-the header.
-the idea of the X's, although not mine.

I hate the way you make us click [X] instead of a link.........itwould be better if you linked the [X] and a link. I know they are for the fanbase and all but I had to wrestle with an X for half an hour just to get to the seasons list.

It's not very interesting, is it? I mean, the content and all is good but the colours......aperson can only have so much white. Try to make the background like the banner, that would look pretty cool!

Why use such a small space? Why not use all of the screen? It looks too tiny and fragile.

I'm not even going to get started on the forums.

All-in-all, your site is brilliant, but has a few minor niggles. Keep up the good work!

The [x]s are fine after that discription. As for the tiny text, that's a load. You need to make them a point or two larger. We're not talking much, just a couple of points. The flow will still be there, and your fanbase won't get headaches after ten minutes on the site. Also, a DOCTYPE is always necessary. You'll lose alignment in certain web browsers if you don't have your DOCTYPE and have your html validated. You can't blame your Fanbase for not having a DOCTYPE that's just being lazy.
