The page timed out on loading. Is the site down?

The first thing that strikes me is that the navigation bar needs some colour - perhaps the red/yellow of your pages headers as link/mouseover colours for consistency sake?

The font for the navigation on "Tribute" does not match the others.

"Home" is not an option on your Nav bar.

Lose the lime green!

Your text is centered, bold, and serif - 3 strikes in my opinion.

Amusing content but it is unclear to me why I should give you money or what I would get for it.

The concept of the site is appealing. However, I don't think you are taking advantage of some of the opportunities that the content affords.

First, I have seen many of these sites before. Most of them are in the same "my home page" condition that yours is in. Work on making it more professional looking.

I'm not positive, but I believe that people will be more apt to pay for these if your site appears more professionally done. For example, I don't think adcritic.com would have made it where they did if their site had a "my home page" look to it.

If it were my site, I think I would create a postcard or email-a-friend feature. You could sell advertising space when the programs were delivered. You might even find that a better revenue generating model than the access pay site that most people abhore.

Just my $.02.

BTW, I thought the pictures were great! I would have like to have an easy way to tell my friends about it.

I thought the site looked ok, it is a bit bland though, to much space around the logo, on full screen @1024x768 there's a bit waste of space down the right hand side.

the menu needs alittle work, on the front page it's capitals but when you have entered the site it's lower case.

If there is one thing I would not have its a big sign in the middle of my page saying "Buy now", thats just a big turn off for me.

Try and make it a bit more inviting is what im trying to say, make people want to join up, make them think you have everything they ever wanted funny pictures site, quite how your gonna do that is another matter though Smiling

overall 4/10

(harsh, I know)

Please tell me where im going wrong? It keeps coming out green......

Hey! You're using my picture on your site!!! BTW, my eyeballs don't pop out that much!!

Seriously though, I'm not too crazy about the nav system...There's no link bak to the home page so you could get lost in the site...

The links down the left would maybe be presented in a table saves you having to add all those   (spaces) to keep them straight.

Not too sure what I would get if I gave you any money, an empty wallet praps?

Saying that I laughed my socks off at some of the pics, keep them coming!!

I think everyone else has mentioned the colors, navagation etc, I'm with them.

The sites content has peoples pull, I also have/had a funny picture site with over 2000 pics (plus funny movies, wavs, programs etc) was getting 200 - 2000 hits a day, it was on a free host but has been removed as the traffic and file size was to much for their "unlimited space" but I wont get into that.

If you can make some money out of this, good luck, but like anything on the net there is always the same thing elsewhere for free, these pictures are given away daily by some joke sites.

I hope the members section is better layed out than the free part, just having a "back" button gets tiresome, I use "back - section index - next"

If you intend to charge i hope you don't have the banners in the paid section, graphics take enough time to load (when your cache fills up) having annoying animated banners makes it worse.

a free service i use for mine is called "recommend-it" (there are heaps of these services out there - free) that allows you to get people to send them the page via email, search engines are good, but word of mouth is better.

watch out for copyrights as well, i only looked at a couple of pages as they all looked the same layout but comic strips and graphics in general carry automatic 50 copyright on them, even if it has not got a name or copyright symbol on it, (if you charge for viewing these and get caught - ouch) play safe, put somewhere that your using them as author unknown, found on public domain, if your the author and dont what them here let me now and remove them ...

I'd also put either the full url on the back link or at least your web sites banner, if i was sent this page and wanted to see more i couldn't, the back link would go no where as i'd be viewing it off your site

good luck

What might help is to not let your logo be bannerish. Make it a logo with a logo feel. Integrating a logo into a sites layout I have found to be the easiest way to do this, as well as spruce a somewhat boring logo up (Not saying your logo is boring, I like Pie With Fish)

Get some creative navigation and you in a good direction.

Knowing what your "Killer Application" is right now is hard to tell but if you start filling it out you never know what will happen. Have faith, you are in a good direction right now.

I give this site
