Hey everyone,

We've recently started a new forum dedicated to the new generation "smartphones". We think the smartphones are going to really change the way we go about our lives, so we're hoping to get plenty of reviews and discussions happening on our forum. In the near future, we want to have a huge section on wallpapers, ringtones, games, etc. for download!

I would appreciate any comments for this! Thanks!

Hi teknoledge, Sorry it took me so long to get to reviewing your site.

My first impression is that this looks pretty good. You've got a well defined colour scheme and visual identity going. I wasn't really keen on that combination of red and blue at first but it's starting to grow on me.

The top navigation bar and login should bump under the logo. This way it won't cause a scrollbar at narrower screen widths.

Looking at the forums list, the first problem I see is that there are way too many of them. I don't know anything about smart phones so I'm not sure what could be cut out here, but things should be kept small when you're starting out a forum. This first of all makes you look busier by condensing the post counts. Secondly, it makes it easier for people to post because they don't have to navigate so many forums and figure out where they're supposed to post their question. You could probably condense all of those into one forum for each section rather than one for each possible brand or technology used. When you get busier you can expand things.

The top section also has way too many forums. Site Announcements and Feedback can go together. News and Rumours and Health can go with General discussion, they don't need their own forums. Although you're getting a lot of discussion in the news area so maybe that one should stay. Normally I would argue that this section should go at the bottom but maybe in this case it's okay at the top. It could serve as a good introduction when the rest of the forums are so fragmented.

Wow, I just realized you've got further subforums underneath those!! Way too much navigation to do. I personally really dislike forums that are so segmented like this. It makes it really hard to navigate and get information.

The forum graphics look really good. Very well designed, although that quote button might be a little big. All the graphics and design is very well done actually Smiling A favourites icon would be a nice touch.

Thanks Megan on a great review!

Yeah, you are maybe right... we should decrease forums number but it is so hard cause those are very specific categories and they cant go under the same forum Confused ... not to mention that there are missing some forums like "Development" and "Marketplace" Laughing out loud...

Hmmm... we should definitely think of a way to decrease forums number Smiling
