I am redesigning my site and was hoping for some input. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Not all the links are hooked up yet, but the main page is done (I wish!)

A couple of questions:
I get a javascript error sometimes, for various lines, all with the same message about document.box.all - do any of you also get that message? It doesnt' happen every time. Does the dropdown menu on top work?

Is the loading time too long?

Any other things need changing?

Thanks Very Much!

I have no problems with the drop down menus.

The design is OK, but there are still rooms for improvement.

Well, the footer links are a good idea, but when you have them change weight on mouseover it makes everything move around and doesnt look good.

Just a personal question: Where are you located?

jackchen - Can you be more specific on the room for improvement? What do you think needs work on?

dangelo - You have a good point on the font-weight. I am located in Iowa.

Did either of you get a javascript error when it first loaded? Did it load slow?

Thanks for taking the time! I really appreciate all opinions!

I think you have good information and it's easy to get around.

I like the drop down boxes. And I do like the blue and brown. But I don't like that brown textured background on the left, top, and bottom. It just doesn't seem very clean looking.

Maybe if you had a different look for that the site would look just a little more 'professional'.

But over all it's good.

I changed the font-weight in the bottom links so they are bold all the time. Does that look better? or are they too bold?

Brooke -
Did you not like the background side bar and top on the main page, the second level pages, or both? The second level pages will be changed to match the first page, if that's what I decide to go with.

I sort of like the side and top of the main page - it's supposed to look something like tooled leather (for the cowboys that visit). But it doesn't look very professional, huh? Do you think if I clean it up a little it would work?

Thanks again!

Well I just might be me. I just didn't know what the background was.

On the home page I do like the brown wood like border around the top navigation - but I just don't like the tooled leather look.

But like I said, it might just be me.

Well, or it might just be me! Maybe no one else likes it either, and I'd never know unless they told me. But you gave me an idea, might play around with the wood look, see what else I can come up with.

If you see anything else that needs work, please let me know!

Thanks!

Okay - two more things.

The logo is a little fuzzy because the shadow is so dark and set away from the graphic.

Also, you have navigation on the right in the brown gradient box - the text is too close to the edge. Try to give it some breathing room.

Sue: I did not get any javascript errors, but the page does take a while to load.

When the page loads the first time, I think it's quite plain.

But it gets better when I scroll down.

Maybe u can make a small rectangular image for your logo and shift the bottom up?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I can see I still have some work to do. Maybe make the logo a little smaller, so more of the lower part shows up when the page loads, clean up the shadows. Don't know what I can do about the navigation on the right.

Thanks again, and if there's anything else...or if anyone else has input.
