Eeek! Too much flashing going on here. All those animated ads are really making it difficult for me to focus on your content. If you must have them on there, what you should do is move all the ad buttons to the right side, and move your content navigation boxes to the left. You could then move your search boxes into the purple area where the top row of ads are now, which would make it easier to highlight that feature - right now it's sort of getting lost amongst all the ads there.

Another thing you might want to do is move your articles higher up on the page - nobody's going to scroll that far down to see them.

Except for the ads though, the design is quite good. The colour scheme is very original, although I'm thinking that some people may be turned off by that combination.

For your host listings, I think you should try to organize that a little better. Maybe a list or tabled format that would allow people to quickly scan the listings and find something that suits them instead of having to read every listing. THe graphics for each hosting company could go too - would be easier to skim the listings if they were more compact.

Generally very nice, but I don't like so much flashing stuff. A bit too distracting. Like the colours Laughing out loud

Unfortunately were stuck witht the flashy ads Sad Ads pay for the site, and the flashy ones are very high performers. Most get in excess of 1% clickthroughs. Asking them to tone down their ads, probably wont work Wink

The colour scheme is to coincide with our new magazine launch. Both the site and magazine carry the same colour scheme. Fortunately we dont have flashy ads within the mag Smiling

Thanks for such a quick response!

We've redesigned the forums as well,

Much less advertising there so the look is much cleaner.

It looks fine in IE, but in NS 4.6 there are some issues with your CSS. NS does not like how your are referencing it so it is using the default colors for links so that in the purple "site links" box the links are dark blue and visited links are purple. I'm not real knowledgeable about CSS, but believe you need to be referencing "head" somehow, since that's where your stylesheet reference is.

Also, the round cornered yellow boxes for "site links" and "whd links" are not lining up, they are jutting off to the left.
