I am mocking up a design for the RSPCA and need some feedback.
There are currently no links and its not 100% complete but I'm stuck atm on what to add in the blue box on the right. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nice site, its a huge improvement from the old site. I think some mouse over effects for the top menu would be nice, but that just me.

I think it looks great

I think what you have works. I dont see anyneed to add or change anything besides maybe some nice rollovers like mentioned above. Nice and professional looking.

Looks good! The first thing I'm going to complain about is the colour scheme. Can you change those logo colours at all? If not, design the rest of the site around them. Right now you've got two different colour schemes - one for the logo and one for the page design. Admittedly, it will be hard to work with those logo colours since they're so bright but there needs to be more coherency thing.

The second thing is that centered font in the blue area. It really doesn't seem right, as you know. Do they have some sort of mission statement you could put there?

I like the little row of grey animals in the top right corner - maybe that should be longer even.

One more thing - you might want to make this clear that it's an Australian site. When I saw "Victoria" I thought of the city in British Columbia (Canada).

I prefer your new mock site. Looks a lot more professional. The first site appears very plain and ( i don't know) kinda "cheap" looking.

Adding Australia is something you really need.

sign up for news letter? why? whats in it? do you sell, trade, swap my email address? are things people want to know when signing up for mailing lists

The "free monthly newsletter" section sits lower than NS4.7 or IE5 (bigger gap)
the picture top right of the animals has a light pink background in Opera6 and IE5 (is white in Netscape) from over compressing I'd say at a guess

the copyright and address in blue section are blurry, these could be done in text, but if must be graphic dont use antilas for fonts, goes blurry when small and compressed.

maybe change your title to RSPCA - Victoria, having all the words would be confusing for a bookmark, people would see the first 3 words max "Royal Society for" which doesnt tell you anything.

I agree with what's been said so far. I do like the look and feel of the new site and I also like the colours but agree with what Megan said about not fitting with the logo.

Julia - if life was meant to be easy Michael Angelo would have painted the floor....

Oh, I think it looks much much better already...despite a few things that need to be worked on. First of all, the logo (blue RSPCA and green paws)need to match the colors of the site. You can find those little paws here at the DINGBAT PAGES i believe or just search for paws.

You probably can find other animals there too. The group of animals that you have on the top right need a little color or something. In my opinion the gray that they are now is a little dull and blurry looking and needs to be more "fun". (if that makes sense)

That bulldog with the bandage on his head is adorable. Definatley keep that! Smiling

I like the layout of the page. Nice job! Fix that logo and you will have the ball rolling. Good luck!

Thankyou all on your comments, unfortunatly the logo cannot be changed, and as this site is for a charity ( I'm getting (-) for it, I cant see myself spending 30 hours trying to get the color schemes to match 100%.
