Ok. I've changed the black bg to white now. Too many other changes to mention here.

What I'm looking for is a site that SELLS! Please let me know what you think, especially as far as "do you feel compelled to buy?" or is there something that is bothering you that would KEEP you from buying?

Need your honest, gut-level opinion here.

Any suggestions will be taken seriously.

Thanks in advance.
Carole

I wouldn't buy probably because it doesn't look professional enough. That's my gut opinion.

Justin, can you please be more specific?

What I'm trying to figure out is why people are adding stuff to their shopping carts, and then never checking out.

It's too all over the place. It doesn't feel organized and I don't feel like I'm on the home page.

I like to be able to see what I am looking for right away and with this site you kind of have to hunt.

Also try making your home page shorter - there is too much to scroll through on the home page - make it short and to the point and very eye catching. This will help to get visitors more interested and then get them into your site to buy.

I agree basically. You need some sort of formatted layout that is easy to navigate. Take a look around the web at some of the large E-commerce type-sites, they are very professional, have eye-catching graphics, and most of the time are easy to figure out.

Start with a basic layout using some images and implement your shopping cart and product pictures.

Good luck,

I agree with the above, and also the following :

when people are using online stores that they havent heard about before, they tend to be a bit "warey" when submitting credit card information, you can normally tell alot from a online store with the layout (how much time has been put into the site), information provided about the company, which I looked for and didnt see any, and what happens with all the info you gather (privacy policy) none of which you provide. I wouldnt give this site a second glance before finding another site to buy my goods from. If you want to become a serious online merchant, find an attractive layout. This page seems like a quick idea which had no actual thought put into it.
Good Luck!

You need some better colors, and you need to define the navigation from the main content of the page. Just my .05 worth.

all the suggestions you have recieved are good, you might want to add some more tables etc to your page to make it look more professional and not like a list, also the suggestion of making it more uniform is good because it gives visitors a sense of trust with your site if they see that it looks like time has been actually spent on the creation of the site!! try get some good graphics, and an entry page in so that if people do not remember what you page looks like they will remember your entry page!!

Well, personally, I liked it. Of course, I only have one web page under my belt so I'm certainly not an expert.

Thanks for your input guys. I've got enough to make a few changes.

Justin, please close this topic, since I don't have the authorization to do so.
