Reviews on my site please - Webmaster Resource Centre (Posted by kmcluk)
Hi all,
Was wondering if you would give me some feedback on my new site.
It's still only in it's infancy so please excuse any dead links and the lact of actual content. I'm just looking for feedback on the general layout, color scheme, services etc.
Looking forward to your opinions.
URL is http://members.aol.com/webresourcentre/
And btw, i know it weird asking about a webmaster-resource site in a webmaster-resource web forum.
Thanks.
Keith McL.

Centre? I thought it was center Just kidding, there are two ways of spelling it.
1) I like the logo, but it's too small.
2) Might want to create a line defining the menu from the main text.
3) The search box at the top of the site does not look right.
4) You might want to use some Style Sheets.

I had another logo on my page and it was bigger than the current one and some people said it was too big. Now your saying it's too small. Now i don't know whether to make it bigger or leave it alone.
Also, i was thinking of using style sheets but there are still some browsers that don't support them so i'm not sure if i will use them.
What do you mean by the search box not looking right?
Looking forward to your reply and thanks for reviewing my site.

Hey Keith,
What a nice looking site you have .
I really like your colors, navigation, style.
My opinion about the logo is that the size and design are fine but it looks a little like it's an ad banner for another site, in fact I was trying to figure out how you identify yourself on the site thinking that your logo belonged to someone else -- could be just me .
A few ways to make your logo look more like a logo and not an ad banner could be to either blend it into the background some way, get rid of the hairline around it, or change the shape of the outline -- I think a cool idea would be to extend those blue/gold lines to touch the bkgd color, just a thought .
take care,

Thanks Carolyn for your idea about the logo. I like the idea about lenghtening the lines to meet the bkgd.
What would be the best way to go about doing this do you think? Change the current logo or add sepereate graphics beside the current one or another way?
Thanks again folks,
Rgds,
KeithMcL

Ok, some more additions have been made to my site.
Please give me your thoughts on the site as a whole.
Thanks.
