is the navigation good, information easily available and enough, do you feel confident on it to buy?

It looks a bit squshed, I would not currently buy from there due to its look. Use less toned colors

hi thanks for your contribution, but when you say less toned colors do you mean pale colors and more brighter colors?
is the layout ok, does it look proffesional?

Hello, benf! Thanks for reviewing some other sites first I did change your thread title according to our posting agreement.
Overall I think the layout looks fine. The side navigation menu works well. I do think it should be sorted in some way. Many psychological studies have shown that people can only process about 5-7 options at a time. After that they get overrun with options and can't process them all. So splitting that up into two or more sections might be helpful.
I do agree that the colours aren't quite right but I'm not sure what soapbath meant either What I'm noticing is that the colours in the logo aren't the same as the colours used in teh rest of the design. The logo is nice. Use your eye dropper tool in whatever graphics program you're using to pull colours directly from there. Definitely change the mouseover colour on the navigation menu.
About the layout, I am noticing a few things that could be fixed. There is a lot of empty space to the right of the logo. You could put a banner ad there or move the blue bar up some so it is beside the logo (the left side will need a curve to match the logo curve). Some of your secondary pages could use a little help too. I was a little confused in some cases - namely on the Nokia and Sony pages - where what looked like headings was actually links. It might be best to underline links in this case. I also think that the "Genuine Nokia mobile phone accessories." text looks really out of place. It's too big and the centering looks out of place.
The product listing pages look really good. When I get to the individual product pages the headings again are too big. You don't want any of your text to overpower your logo.
Overall this looks pretty good, just a few things to fix up

Your website seems to load very slowly... it really grinds and I'm on a T1 connection here. Did anyone else notice that or was it just me?
Looking at your source, you do seem to have an excessive amount of code. You might want to try minimising the number of tables or switching to a tableless/css based design.

Apart from whats been discussed above i'd also suggest some bigger photos once someone has clicked into the product and a lot more detailed description. I'm currently left wondering if what i'm looking at is what i think it is.

I actually like the logo, but that's about it.
I think it will make a big difference to implement the following changes:
- change the current HTML color scheme to match the logo
- drop the watermark
- add rounded corners to all you content boxes
- match you alignments
(what I mean by this is simply line up you content to the edges of the search bar)
IMHO those changes will make a HUGE difference.

I like it but the left nav should be higher up the page..
Easy to use otherwise though

Proublems.....
1) Header is empty, put something in it. Background is good. (for the header)
2) Menu needs to be higher. All the rich old people with 800 X 600 cant see it.
3) All the boxes (like "Coming Soon") need to be turned into graphics with rounded corners. dont make the whole thing a image. just the edges.
4) On the menu it has arrows pointing left but the sub-menus open on the right... Just doesnt feel right.
Other than that, It looks good enought to buy from.

It's very simple. I like it.
It's very fast loading, too, which is definatley a plus (+).
But I agree with the guy above (#4). The arrows should be pointing to the navigation.
Best of luck with your site!
