OK, lord please help me here, fingers crossed.

I would like to have two types of reviews on this site if possible.
www.verifyurl.com
The first for the design (look, feel and coding) and the second one is for opinions about what we offer as a service.

Thanks in advance for any feedback...

Firstly I'm not overly struck with the green you have used, it's a bit too neon for my liking and I wouldn't put it with that blue you have for the links. Secondly the logo looks a bit odd as the lettering doesn't appear to have a uniform spacing to it and the font is a bit boring plus the gradient makes it look rather flat.

There isn't really a designed layout here as you have no real navigation structure, it's stuck at the bottom! You need to have links to all pages on every page so that you have a consistant navigation/layout throughout the site.

You are using CSS (better if it was in an external stylesheet) but you haven't specified any actual font for the text so everything is in default TNR which looks horrible!

I'm confused about what the site is for! I looked at your site before you posted it for critique and was confused then. From the domain name/logo & tag line I thought it was going to be a site about SEO but I'm still not sure why this site is here! Any serious SEO is not going to touch your site at all as it isn't really very well optimised for the SEs, you don't have a PR (I know it's probably a new site) and IMO this type of directory is not going to help anyone get rankings in the SEs.

I certainly don't think anyone, well you may get a few green webmasters, is going to pay to have you review their site and be listed in your directory. There are thousands of directories out there which are used by people so not only would a site get traffic from those directories by people it would also get crawled by spiders as well.

Sorry if that sounded harsh but you did ask for opinions on the service!

Hi there

Well, ummm I like the domain name and I think it has big potential but with the current site I don't think it will go far. The design needs a major uplift and I think you need to come up with a more unique program for this URL. Perhaps you can design a program for when people type in a domain name in there browser and if there is no website it automatically redirects to your site and it asks the user to verify if they typed in the correct URL and below that have links that can relate to what ever was typed in. For the related links charge webmasters to list in your index for a certain amount of money for so much. Just an idea.
Goodluck

I'm going to be different and say I like the green, even thou I personally hate the colour green. But in saying that it does take away from the professional look/feel.
I don't like the font for the letter listings (Lucida Handwriting).
You do need a 'home' link on all pages

I too don't understand what the site is for, good luck thou

I totally agree with Julia, I didn't understand what this website was about and by the time I did I felt as if I was being conned out of money to get registered on a site I have never heard of or will not bring me any benefits.

I don't agree with the comment that you may get a few green webmasters registering, I don't think even they would be so stupid, sorry

I'll be back
