We've been around about 3 months now, and things are going well, but you guys mind checking it out, maybe just to tell me how I could improve the site, and get more members.

Thanks

Sure, how about you return the favour to others looking for critiques and testing? That will get you better responses for your own site. Scratch my back, I'll scratch yours, sort of thing. Plus it's in the posting agreement that you just read...

Along with that, I'll be editing your subject to comply as well.

There's nothing there. It's a deranged dog and a radio show and, again, more forums.

It used to be that people actually built up pages and pages of sites before asking for a critique! Personal sites, business sites were more than just a forum and a link. *sigh*

yes, it's an offtopic forum site, based on the radio show, and I would love to check out other peoples sites.. Smiling here I go...

I was a little too concise earlier -- the radio show link contains only links to the show. Nothing about the content of the radio show, the personalities involved, the range of topics, et cetera.

If I *knew* what this was all about, it'd be fine. As someone happening upon it, it's meaningless.

you know, that's a great idea.. I nenver really though about that, are you saying things like, content, picture of the dj's and guest's etc? Thanks for the advice Suzanne! btw as far as the forums are concrened, I was more asking for a review on content, as I'm not ready to do a major overhaul on the site considering I'd have to reinstall the 37+ mods I've added Smiling

I don't know about other people who may be in your target audience, but I think to attract people to this type of forum, you need to a) play up the radio show as the primary attraction and b) lead people from the radio show descriptions to the forums.

i.e. if you have a "crazy hat day" say, and that's the topic for the radio show that day, you could put that information on the site, describe the premise loosely, and then link to a specific forum in your forums as the place to talk while listening to the show.

You can do this with all the parts of the text, actually. Forums for the personality, forums for the different shows, all linked from the "what the heck is trey dogg hour?" section.

This gives the forums the aura of fan/audience/special people, and helps people like me who stumble across the demented dog a sense of context, so I can determine if I want to listen to this radio show or not.
