Review Request: www.mbpoolplayers.com
I did a site for our pool league team and wanted to get some opinions on the site. The site is Myrtle Beach Pool Players.

Hi sknyppy, this is a cute little site. Very well put together. I like how the page content looks like it is laying on a pool table. Nice touch.
A few things that I noticed are you have no doctype and instead of using paragraphs, you are creating two line breaks between each paragraph. For example:
Not much more than a foot of green felt stood between Shawn Reynolds and an extra five days in Las Vegas.
Reynolds composed himself and then nudged the cue ball into the eight ball that rested gently in front of the corner pocket.
Should probably be:
Not much more than a foot of green felt stood between Shawn Reynolds and an extra five days in Las Vegas.
Reynolds composed himself and then nudged the cue ball into the eight ball that rested gently in front of the corner pocket.
This is not really a big deal. Just thought I'd mention it.
Nice work!

What's with the flowers and watermelon? Are those local specialties or something? They seem sort of out of place. Otherwise a neet border for the site. Oh, I see Melons is the name of the bar. Makes sense now.
The front page content could use some work. That photo collage is sort of ugly looking. The one with the guy at the pool table lower down is much more eye catching. Use that instead.
You've got a font conflict right at the top. The navbar is done in a really casual printing font, while the header underneath is done in a very formal, traditional looking font. They don't go together! Then I go to other pages and have a different header with balls and another font. That's conflicting too. Even putting a bit of space in between that and the navbar would help.

Really like the site. I just don't know about the flowers and mellons?

Melon vines bloom too, don't they?

Looks good, flowers don't go together with the site, maybe put in pool balls or something. The guy dressed in the leopard skins on your front page isn't a great picture to have, it's blurry and not really helpful. A person on your team playing pool with a good quality pictures would be much better instead.

Looks nice, really well put together. As Megan said, I think it would be best if you used the second picture on the page rather than the man with a stick...

As a rank amateur I think you did a pretty good job. It takes a while for the header and frame to come up on my machine. Maybe it's my machine or maybe some of the pros here can tell you how to speed things up. I know my header takes way too long. I always find the pictures in some of these webs don't fit very well. They seem stuck on and out of place. I think your first page is a little like that. The rest of the site, I think is really good. I don't know, I like to see a big splash on the first page and then you go into the details. Like a grand entrace page. Please take my comments with large grains of salt as I'm more of a customer than a decent web page person. Overall I think you did a great job. Looks like fun and I think that's where you succeeded. I used to drive a Triumph 500 and play a lot of 8 ball
