I'm sure you didn't even bother reading the terms which you agreed to before starting this new thread... here's a hint...

Quote: Review Other Sites - We do ask that if you request input on your site, you review at least three other sites first. The existence of the Website Critique Area depends on the willingness of members to give feedback to others.

Actually I did, And I have no knowledge or experience in design work. Therefore I do not feel that I would have valid points to review others sites. This being said I will gladly help out in answering questions in the server area, which I have started to do so already.

If by the rules you must remove my post then feel free to. I understand why it is there.

Everyone has an opinion. That's what matters. You don't have to be a HTML/design guru to say that you like/dislike a design (or parts of it).

Those aren't really rules, they're more guidelines that we'd like people to keep in mind, that's all. No need to feel pressured or anything. I do agree with what zollet said about giving some input anyway. Any comments on your experience of the site could be helpful - it doesn't necessarily have to be about the visual design per se.

If you have no design skills, then how did you get this site? Is it a template or did you have someone do it for you? The main thing I'm wondering about is where the dogs are - if your company is called "hostdog" you should really use some sort of dog picture to tie the two concepts together. I took a psychology course last term and one of the studies we looked at talked about how companies are more memorable if their logos use visual imagery to tie the company name in with their line of business. That would be hard to do with this design though...

Other than that there's not a whole lot to say here. There are some problems with text - like the paragraph on the lower-left side is butting up against the table edges, and the links above it don't look like links at all, they look like plain text. Overall there seems to be a lot of text on here. Try to break things up using lists and such to present key points without forcing people to read too much.

Overall I do like the site but I get a horizontal scrollbar at 800*600.

I do feel, however, that the links could do with a rollover to add some life to the page with a change of colour or maybe the blue circles changing to orange. On some of the pages there is rather a lot of blank space which requires scrolling to get to the information, I would sort this out and a lot of the text is very small and hard to read on the graphics.

Welcome to TWF hostdog

Well I like you site, it looks... ok I guess.

The top navigation area bar thingy could do with a rollover like what The Webmistress said...make the blue circles light up or some thing Smiling

I also get a horizontal scroll at 800*600
