How does the flash opening add to your visitors experience?
For me it gave me no information - took time to load and was very inappropriate.

Only my personal opinion though - i may be wrong.

Agree with the intro, I personally think they're a waste of time, because no one really cares about them. The scroll info in the middle is too fast, slow it down for people to read.

Thanks for looking at some of the others sites Smiling

I agree about the flash intro! I'm not a fan of them unless they have a good reason for being their they generally just waste time and don't offer anything but pretty moving images.

Once into the site, I'm really not sure about the colour scheme. Green is a hard colour to get right when using lots of shades and although yours isn't really bad it isn't great IMO either. What is with the flash thing stick in the middle that does nothing? Then you have the news feed squished at the top that is too small and fast to be able to read properly. I would incorporate the flash apple thingy into the header somehow by making it smaller and it will then liven the top section better. Then make the news feed bigger and slower and get some static text onto the page to a) tell visitors exactly what this site is about and b) give the search engines something to digest!

Thanx alot webmistress. I was having the idea that the news scroller is a bit fast. well I have made another template with a lot more Darker Green in color menu, which is the color of our company logo & with light green in the top banner. about the Flash well I like it as it is. Smiling well as our Co. is an agricultural Co. thats y I have those thingz (fruits, veges, goats Laughing out loud & dairy products) popping out of the box with our logo symbol on it.

any wayz thanx 4 the useful feedback I will surely look into these matter.

Take carez

Here's what I think....

1) Im not a keen fan of flash intros, they are just an extra page which makes the process of getting to your mainpage that bit harder. If you want to create a flash page - keep it as an option from your homepage.

2) I'm not very keen on the colour scheme, the green is quite distracting. Also the colour combinations dont really go together.

3) I did like your menu system - it is a well set out DHTML menu - nice and easy to use.

4) You need to add meta data to your source to make it search engine friendly.

hope this helps....good luck with the site Wink

That flash intro is really pointless. Get rid of it. The main page here is not a bad start but it does need some work. That big graphic in the middle does nothing for me as a user. What people need from a home page is a general overview of what the site is about and what it offers to the user. This graphic does nothing but take up space. Put some text there to describe the company. Highlight some new products or special promotions. Even the About Us section doesn't do a lot to help me figure out the site (what is "the kingdom"???).

Some of this could be just me being Canadian and not understanding what your target audience would. Who is your target audience for the english version, anyway? A lot of this seems to be written in a really ackward way. The words don't flow together very well and it's hard for me to understand it sometimes. Shorter sentences would be a big help. Also use the HTML paragraph tag to separate paragraphs instead of using hard returns. I'm also noticing some spelling mistakes here and there so it might be a good idea to have this checked by someone.

I'm looking for a navbar and I don't see one. Could be something that's not working in my browser (Opera 7). Sure enough, there's a menu there but I can't see it. It works in firefox so I guess it's up to you as to whether you want to support all browsers or not. However, in Firefox the green sidebars aren't extending all the way down, they're stopping right below the menu on both sides.

Overall I think the main problem with this site is poor communication. The visuals aren't bad, it's just having problems getting the message across.

hmmmmmm... well I guess ur Right there megan. Cuz there is a JavaScript Scroller up there on the top which is fast as ppl say so I have slowed it down a bit. it has a lill information about the company. I think I should make that text static & remove the scroller part from there! wt do u say?

Also I can C that the menuz are not appearing full in Fire Fox but in I.E. they are ok.

Thanks for you input I will surely look into these things Smiling

That scroller doesn't work in my browser here. Seeing it in Firefox. it is too fast to read comfortably and it's not straightforward enough. It needs to be more direct (i.e. say "Saudi Arabia" instead of "the kingdom". I had no idea what you meant by that. Granted, your target audience might so just ignore me if that's the case).

Okay...I completely agree with what seems to be a group consensus: Lose the Flash Intro. Or, if you plan to keep it, you may want to improve the quality of the graphics. The front leaves seem a little grainy/fuzzy to me. Also...I am not certain of the exact point of the intro. Also, the intro does not seem very smooth.

Once in, I like the left hand navigation...the header graphic is fine...but the big center pic is disturbing...as is the scrolling center text. I don't really know where to look...and if you want customers to buy your product...they have to be able to navigate your website easily & without having to think about it. Otherwise, they will get frustrated & just leave. High tech gimmicks do not really influence those searching for organic products. Afterall, I would think that your customers would probably be drawn to a clean simple design with superior content. Leave the web gimmicks to sites that are focused on technology & web design...not selling organic produce.

Just my thoughts.

Cheers,
Erica

Hi,

Nice thoughts acsinclair! well I 2 think that I should do some thing about the text scroller. but what shall I put there? a text fader or some thing like that? about the middle Logo shows the main category of our products range. like ours is an agriculture company which produces several products like Fruits Veges, dairy, meat, Fodder, Manfctured Products etc. I am recently workin on a products catalog which is almost complete so then it would be better for the customers to get to know more details of what we are actually selling. Smiling

Thanks again 4 ur input

Take carez
