Review Request: Traveller's Tales
I'll put this up without any comment. Well, I lied about the no comment bit... this is a mockup so it has no content yet, just the navigation scheme. Fire when ready Gridley...

As you haven't done any reviews in a while could you possibly take a look at some of the others sites
To be honest I'm finding this a bit boring and the TNR font makes it look ameteurish - change to Verdana for a smoother look.
The link text is too small and somewhat hard to read and the logo is all blurry/hairy where you have the text graphic saved as a jpeg - text in graphics should be gifs.
It's ok in general but there just seems to be a need for something to spice it up a bit.

Not liking the pink at all. TOo pink here. Try combining with a navy blue or something more neutral to tone down the effect. Also make sure that if you're using more than one shade of pink that they are compatible with each other.
I do like the overall layout - especially the way that the title bar overlaps the striped pattern on the right side. The navbar is a little on the small side - it's hard to even read the entires there.
I agree about the font selection. You don't have to go with verdana though (especially since your nav links are arial!) - Georgia or Garamond would look better if you want to go with a serif (not a bad idea IMO). Make sure the font for the "traveller's tales" title is the same serif.
Oh! Not liking how the colour changes when you move around the site. If you're going to do this you need to tie it into the base design somehow. Like make the navbars the colours of the pages they link to. I don't particularly appreciate the colours you've chosen either. THe green and yellows are too bright compared to the pink, although the maps page is nice and the images one is okay.
Your logo graphic is looking rather fuzzy in some areas. You're going to have to either use a higher compression setting in JPEG or do the text half in GIF (making sure the background colours are websafe so they match up with each other.) OR try PNG for this since you've got both JPEG and GIF elements in the same graphic.

I like the easy of the design.
However I don't find the following appealing, or that helpfull...
The pink starting page, when you think travel you think more along the lines of browns, greens, and blues for color choices. Pink is more a love or passion color. It is too home feeling and makes you mellow and less interested in the traveling concept
The "by date" and "by region" organization is a nice concept, but when you click it you are istandly confused with the navigation, it has just changed appearance and not you have to get familiar with it again. I got mixed up and confused mutliple time. You many want to consider a with the CSS/JS combo that will allow you to make the menu expand without loading a new page and allowin the user to see how the menu has been altered
Other then that I liked it.

I think your design concept is nice. However I agree with the other posters, about the font selection it doesn’t look quite right. Also I agree with what some one else said, the color changing each time you click a link doesn’t work for me. You need to keep a constant theme going.
But I like the simple design , it is fast loading and will make a nice site once you fine-tune it a bit.
