Hi,
Thanks for sharing your site.
I would recommend adding a link in your black box menu for your stories. You could then list your stories on a separate page. That way all links to your site and subpages are listed in the menu box.

Even though the site itself could do with a little jazzing up, the content, your stories are very well written, so the tarting up of the site will be the icing on the cake.
