I have changed your posting so that the link to the site worked
Very nice, certainly fits in with the site/forums. Fast opening for me and probably one of the best guestbooks I've seen, even if it's a tad dark for my tastes.

Looks good, but I don't really like the table borders around everything, particularly the visitor information on the left side. Remove those borders and things will look less disjointed. (although that does match the forums part so I guess it should be removed on both Or not )

I like it as well. Only issue is is suposed to be a family anf friends site, to me it feels like a game site, music site, or just something technology oriented. But thats MHO.

I have my contrast down low usually, so dark sites are a nightmare to get used to. At this level of contrast, the dark edges of the bevels are invisible, and the background colours appear to be solid black. All I see is incoherent lines streaking across the page... but nevermind that; let's see how it looks with brightness/contrast up a bit.
Well, now that's better. I like the look you've got going. Very nice, very smooth. But I retain part of the above complaint: still a bit messy. I don't know if it's because Moz Firebird is rendering slightly different or if you wanted it this way, but I see some of the boxes too wide or narrow, creating a hodgepodge sort of appearance. But only slightly.
Good work overall.

Thanks for all the responses, i realise a dark colour range isnt too popular, and in time the whole site will get a facelift, and be in light tones. I have only used ie to view the site, and it looks as it should through that, ive made mistakes in parts and im trying to fix those. (still a novice)
Thanks
