Not bad.
What happens if the page length increases? Does she stretch?
The colors are nice... but have you thought about using a just a different shade or color altogether for the box backgrounds?
There doesn't seem to be much of a need for the back to top link, even at 800x600. Unless, of course, the page length increases, which raises my first question again.
Pretty good for a one-night job so far.

I like the design but the black line that runs down each side looks like it should create a box at the top as well. 'Submit news' links is split. I'd get rid of the 'Best viewed.......' as no one is going to pay attention to that any way. The large picture of her on the right is tiling and her arm looks copped off. I'd set it to the exact size of the table so that the straight edge of the picture is up against the black line. You have copyright on the page but are they actually your personal pictures??

thanks for the reply! about the page length, i think my best bet is to not let the content exceed the picture height. might have a little fiddle around with the table bg colors like u said aswell, see how it looks. just fixed a few little things aswell, should look better in 1024x768 now.
images arent copyright - the design is.
the submit news link is easy fixed, dont know what ur talking about with the large pic on the right though...looks fine to me

Whatever you've done has made the picture fit the table properly now I think you need to credit whomever you got the pictures from.

I think it looks pretty good. The download of the week image isn't of very good quality but everything else looks good.
nice work.

Only one comment, when i entered the page it took me about 15-20 seconds to actually focus on and find the navigation.

as I posted in another thread I am very impressed with the layout and organization. very well done! The only thing that bothers me is that glaring orange background! I can see some that would find it offensive to the eyes. So you may want to go with a more subtle tone. But all in all a very impressive site

That is a very sharp design! My kudos to you.
I'm not necissarily offended by the orange background, but I'm an artist so I like to use unusual colors.
I will say that you MUST give credit to whoever the photographer of the photos you are using is!
If I were the photographer (or held the copyright on the photos) and I found you using them on your website without a mention of me, you would be catching some real hell right now. I might even make you remove them if you weren't very very nice to me.
Just so you know...
1) Artists are moody.
2) Artists HAVE TO go overboard protecting their copyrights on their work.
3) If the record lable is the copyrite holder of these pictures they are even worse about using work without credit.
You should always have permission and a notice of copyrite on any work you use that isn't your own creation...
especially if you're basing your design around them.
Other than that, you have a wonderful design. I'll look forward to seeing how the rest of site comes together.
