REVIEW REQUEST: orlanimation.com
Hi, this is my first site. I have some issues that I may not be aware of. I designed my site in Flash and on a Mac. I'm not sure about the conflicts with other browsers and PC's, etc. It's in Flash, but it's not 'Flashy' at all...this I did on purpose. Someone told me about 'navigation' issues with my site but, I had 2 people navigate through my site just fine both of them don't own computers. My site is supposed to be an 'art' site, more so 'freehand illustration'<---becomming rare these days, lol. So, have fun and browse around. Thank you. Peace.

Welcome to TWF
Firstly thanks for reviewing some of the others sites.
I get a horizontal scrollbar at 800*600 which shouldn't really be there, but it seems that your movie is 800x600 so it's not going to fit - you really need to make it 700x500 to fit with no scrollbars.
Unless I click the intro link from the first page I get page not found errors!
The intro is quite nicely done, but I'm not a fan of flash sites and what happens if someone doesn't have or want to install flash? They will see nothing so maybe you should do a static version for those like me who don't like flash, those still on a dial up connection or those who don't have it, not to mention the search engines.
As for the main site, very nice graphically but I would have the thumbnails opening in a new browser window or have a back link.
Nice work

"What happens if someone doesn't have or want to install Flash?"
Well, I saw nothing but a blank white page with the word "greetings" in the message box at the bottom of the screen.
Must be a Flash version higher than 4.0 (version 4.0 or lower usually works for me)?

That's the only web authoring software I have at this point, i get what you mean. Yes, I want to make 2 versions, 1 in html and the other in Flash. As soon as I get Dreamweaver or something like that, then I can proceed. I didnt' realize that there were a lot of non-Flashers out there. This is my first site, lol...it's change. Thanks...

At first I didn't know what I was suposed to do here. I would make those little arrows bigger, and maybe colour them to make it more clear that that's how you get into the site.
Fix your html page titles - I just see "mainpage" in my tab bar here.
This is quite the interface! I'm not sure if I find this overly complex or exploratorily interesting.
Why do you have links pertaining to children & medical situations? That doesn't fit in with the rest of the content at all! If you want to promote your own causes of interest, that's fine, but make up a personal site to do that rather than mixing it with business.
Overall this is somewhat interesting but at the same time confusing and a little hard on the eyes. I wish some of the images were bigger once you click on them, and some of the text is hard to read.

I found the intro too long...
But once loaded, I found your site to be very creative and unique. Which is great! I like the work you are showing off also. Not sure why you would give apple a free ad Great work !!

Dude I love your site. Right up my alley
The only think I did not like about it was that it said 'click to view animation' when in the music section. Just fix that and all will be sweet.
You have some serious talent.

Well, I had 2 people who don't own computers and don't even have emails test my site and they were able to navigate through it without any coaching or guidance and I also had some people who review webpages often said it's hard to navigate. I guess maybe most sites follow a 'direction' or a template that peeps are used to. Because I didnt' follow that 'template' maybe it seems confusing to some. I'm still tweaking my site here and there, and I know very little about the whole html, php and all that programming. I see mistakes on it all the time, lol...
Basically, the site I have eminates 'me', not really a 'business' site nor a 'personal' site...but just about 'me', lol. My sister passed away recently due to complications with diabetes and I've always had concerns about helping children with medical situations. I'm a freelance art instructor to children...I care about em, that's all. Thank you all for your reviews, it's very much appreciated.
P.S. nasanu, if you like to add me as an affiliate to provide 'freehand' illustration, it may help diversify your clientele. How many 'web page designers' offer 'freehand illustration' as an option? Hmmm....Email me...
