REVIEW REQUEST: Maximum-Digital
Hi there, I could use some ideas on my website.
It is not really supposed to have a theme exept to bum around and have fun. So please don't be too critical of the theme because I am aware it is a big mutt of a website
I know it has the colors of a warez site but is it really that bad to have that nighttime look to it? I was trying to stay away from the typical grey or white backgrounds.
I have been told that its a pain to keep going back to the main page to try other links but hey one click to the main menu aint bad and I do not want to frame the main page for various reasons if I can avoid it.
I know I need to fix some of the backgrounds on some pages.
Could anyone give me a link to a better free forum? The one I have now is kinda cheasy but loads fast compared to other freebies. Some day I will pay for a decent one but for now - nocando.
email me if you would like to exchange links.....

I love the way the buttons look, they are great. They provide the colour for the site. But there are way too many other colours being used. I dont like the blue and red borders, they should be changed to another colour IMO. If you have a black background the text colour should always be white and if the background is white you should try to have black text. The overall structure and how your site is layed is good, I suppose it looks alright in short, but the only thing I dont like is the wide assortment of colours. Besides that it looks ok, good luck with your site.

You should offer text links at the bottom of the pages to help your viewers so they don't have to keep returning to the index (but returning does clock up your counter )
I guess since it's just a "fun" site you can do as you please, but depends if you want to be take seriously or not
They is a saying, "just because you can, doesn't mean you should" no offense but the only thing I didnt find on your site was the kitchen sink
if you want a free forum check out phpbb.com or invisionboard.com (both need PHP and MySQL)

I like the font that you have used for the nav buttons and think that you should also use that font for the title graphic at the top. The font used for the title graphic, "Maximum Digital", doesn't really match the feel of the site as is.
Also, I think I would loose the date at the top as well as the flaming graphic of whatever that image is at the top and add a tagline instead. You could say something like, "Where people go to geek out!" under the title image.

The faq button at the online store doesn't work, what exactly are you wanting to do with the site,(sell, amuse, etc.) if it's to sell you shouldn't distract future customers, also the online store link is easy to miss, other then this the site cool

Hi everyone, hope you had a great Christmas!
I have taken alot of feedback into consideration for my website and I want to thank all who have replied!
Thanks Busy for the php forum advise. I actually never had any hands on before with .php or MySQL before, but I picked up the basics enough to start a forum up that looks WAY better than the cheesy boards I was using before that where actually hosted on another server.
It seems those free boards always load slow after awhile, and there is no feeling of acomplishment using those "paste some code" forums anyways.
So I thought, hey I have more than one static IP so what the hell. So I threw some old parts together and had it all running over a couple of days.
I cleaned up the Geek Area a bit and will keep working on it as I maybe someday convert the rest of my website to .php
Well have a good holiday everyone!
Happy Serving.....

I think its a little too busy for my eyes too, the colours are nice but there seems to be too many options avaliable at any one time. I'd make the buttons a little smaller perhaps to fit them all on one page.
Hope that helps,

Here are some of my humble suggestions
* The navigation buttons are rather large and makes it difficult to read. Mabye a little bit smaller?
* Not sure I like the blue on black.
* I like the overall layout of the site. It's clean and functional.
* The counter, guestmap, Inlive, and date scripts are a bit cliche.
MHO. Good Luck!

nice buttons on the left, but other than that, not much design on the site.

If your going for a professional look, I would think about moving away from black as the background. I would also make those buttons on the left and right smaller. I would also think of working on your logo graphic..
Good Luck

It's a start, but I think you should make a few changes.
First of all, the exploding computer does not inspire confidence in visitors coming to you for help with their machines.
Secondly, Waazzzuupp was cute a few years ago. Geeky stuff and waazzuup don't seem to mix.
Finally, having 'snuff' humour as your joke of the day is in poor taste, and again - how does this relate to a techie site?

Agree entirely there..
Use the same font for the header, and make it bold and stand out. The current header is too dark and blends in with the background.
Also lose the table border around the header.. and change the table border around the nav and content to a less contrasty color against the black background.

first up, always use a bgcolor with a background image (in html body tag and with css).
Looks good, clean easy to find stuff (you should remove the old webmaster-forums.com link)
there is a slight alignment problem on the line the "Community " and "home, sitemap etc" links are on in mozilla.
the underlined heading is confusing while the links arent underlined.
You should try use less HTML (font tags etc) and get used to using CSS heaps easier for future editing etc.
Your also missing a closing tag
keep up the good work
