I like the colours, but commander keen up the top kinda stands out from the blue.

The 1's and 0's behind the logo could probably be spanned right across the title strip

yes, i agree with renegade, the layout is typical doesnt stand out. Though the graphics are high quality, and at the same time quick loading, which is good. Still needs work. Im more of a side menu man myself, but others may feel differently.

I suppose it's a bit different by having the wide borders but it doesn't flow together and everything just looks as if it's been chucked on the page a bit, especially the buttons. The logo isn't too bad but the pictures on the right don't blend in at all and actually look very odd as they are two different types of image and the one far right looks like you've enlarged it.

The graphics are yelling Photoshop and the 2 graphics on the top-right stand out way too much.

Much like everyone else I'd say that the layout doesn't really gel. It's really got nothing about it that'd make it stand out.

I was thinking that everything looked alright until the two images at the top right loaded. It would probably look nicer without those two. They sort of cheapen the look.

The logo at the top left could use some work. First thing....it is crooked (or either my eyes are playing tricks). It seems to be slanting upward on the right side of the graphic. Second, the spacing between each letter is not consistent. And thirdly, this is rather bland and the text clashes with the numbers in the background. Those numbers are way overused on the net and are sorta dated looking IMO. See if you can come up with something fresh that hasn't been used by everyone and his brother.

Really not much more I can think about with the small amount of content you have there. Nice start though.

I too think that the bottom section of my site looks crappy. It just doesn't stand out. I will re-arrange it a bit and see what I can come up with. Those graphics on the top right header will be fixed up, I might just make them the same colour and make em a little transparent. BTW Zollet I used PSP 7.

Sonia: The character spacing is now even and I couldn't think of anything else to put in the background, any one have an ideas of what could replace the 1's and 0's? About the slanting. I too noticed that so I created that image from scratch. But it still looks like its slanting..? What do you think?

Your biggest problem here is the bevels. They're not strong at all and just make the design look wishy-washy. Either do a good strong bevel or leave it off - the settings are too fuzzy on these. (sidenote) I think that bevels are one of those techniques that is trickier than it looks. You have to strike a good balance between sharp and soft without it looking like something out of 1998.

You're going to have a hard time finding something to put in the background there. I guess that's another reason why so many gaming sites are black.

Have you tried using CSS for that [background]?

I the new layout looks almost the same, but it looks better in the sence that, it 'fits', although the navigation text could look better if it was bolded.

What about a slightly blue background? The white seems too bright...

The title bar across the top looks a bit empty on the right now with the picture of commander keen and his friend moved.
And the black text at the bottom seems a bit hard to read, what about a color like #efefef?

I'm not keen on the header part especially, as it does nothing for me. Maybe try some different images as they don't 'go' together and therefore look like they've just been stuck there!

The tank looks odd to me as it is at an odd angle. I don't think the types of images you are using really fit with the blue colour and they are always going to look stand alone as they don't merge in with the layout at all.

cant say that i like it, very in ur face with the tank and the blue doesnt really seem all that impressive with such a theme on a site. The tank has to go me thinks.....

It looks simple and straightforward. It won't distract the viewer from the textual content. I'm assuming that this will be the most important part of your page.

Hey there this is my first post, but I think the layout looks fine, the colors are not sticking out at you, and I also like the navs buttons, keep up the good work.
