This is my newest site, it is a ultimate graphics resource site. I have spent the last 3 months hand coding the massive PHP engine that runs the site. i could really use some feedback. If anyone has any content they can submit tot he site, please do so, it only takes a few mins. I will help you bring more traffic to your site.

I give it a thumbs up for speed, but left feeling a little green. Overall, it's nice to see a graphics site not bloated with graphics!

Congratulations: your text scroller works in Opera !

The layout looks really nice. Nice and crisp and not overly complicated. A very nice change from the usual over-done looks you get on most graphics sites. I like what you've done on the front page of the individual sections. The layout there with the header and little object photo is really nice.

One thing I have a problem with is the centered horizontal navigation. I think something should be done differently with those. Spread them out and make them look like boxes with a background hover (you know what I mean, right?). That top navbar was particularly hard to find when I was looking for it. Those two navbars should also be treated differently somehow so they don't conflict with each other.

Looks great! Very simple and fast to load. The only one thing. the graphics paragragh on the home page needs to be aligned left not center. It makes it harder to read.

Looks great, not much to say about it. I agree with Megan on your top navigation bar, you could make it stand out more because it is the main menu you have on your site.

Good job on a nice looking site. Very clean!

If I could make any recommendation, it would be to add a little color. There is a lot of green there, and something to offset it a bit may make your page more attractive.

Overall - nice site

Thanks for the kind words, I spent 3 months hand coding a massive PHP engine for this site, and I am glad to get some good feedback on it.

If you have any content that can help the site, please ad it, we are slowly growing on content, and can use all the help we can get.

I would agree with everyone that the site is lacking some color, doesnt have to be like add red or anything like that just maybe some differnt shades of green etc .. I think it may help it pop ..

Take care

Hi,

Well... For a site about graphics it lacks a bit of graphics in the layout. You must "sell" your product! Some background images in the title background or in the main menu, as an example, could be a good solution.

Regards.

Looks good. It is a nice consistant design. Navigation is easy. I do agree that a little more color should be used, another shade of green. Forum looks great too!

Is the layout green or black? looks almost black. maybe add a design into the background of the top section and side sections, a combination of what you offer maybe

You should add a mention if the tutorial requires plugins (flash/quicktime), also that they open in new window. I clicked on your latest tutorial and can't see diddly as I don't have (nor want) the quicktime player.

Well I am going to add some stuff once the site becomes popular, I am going to add links, stock images, and a portfolio section once the site is successful.

Thanks for the comments any others? I finshed the links section so could use some reviews on it: http://www.graphics-Central.com/links.php. As for the quicktime thing, I am leaving it up to the user and their description to add that part. Thanks for the comment ont he concern though. Also, you said it almost looked black, well you might want to adjust your monitor, because it is pretty green on most peoples screens.

I have perused your site for a while and I must say I am very impressed. It was very easy to navigate and I really like how the skin of your forum is the exact same as rest of page. It flows together quite nicely.

I have noticed many sites have a cookie cutter/template feel to them, however yours did not. Very original look and you should do quite well!

Mike

Yes, I agree with the last 2...the site has a "standard company site look". I mean, if it`s a grafics site, you should use more graphical elements on the design. Flash with be a plus...Check this out kigot.com
