Hey, could you review a couple of other sites again? Your last review request was almost a year ago so we'd appreciate some more help this time Smiling

I will say that this is one of the best looking gaming sites I've seen. Great balance between the lights and darks - most of them look so dingy! Try moving the logo part a little bit down and to the left so it's not crammed up against the top of that graphic and fits in the corner made by the big "T".

hmm well the site looks nice, a bit cluttered. but that is the way most game sites are, and now that i look at it again, it doesnt really set itself apart from alot of other game sites. maybe rework the layout or graphics to make it stand out from the rest.

your news seems a bit old. (hordes of underdark was announced in may, at the E3 expo.)

anyone can do any amount of work provided it isnt the work they are supposed to be doing.

I apologize about the hordes of the underdark article, it has the wrong title. It was actually an update on the game. Anyways if you visit our news archive here http://www.gamer-talk.net/archive.html, youll notice the news is pretty recent. I have contacts with Nintendo, Atari, Microsoft, etc... so its updated pretty often.

I love the desing BUT, there is way to much on the front page, i think that mabye you should have a more general navigation and branch it out into smaller and more precise nav bars. Looks like it is very good content, how many web designers were there?

For web designers there was me and one other person who helped a little bit with coding. I'll keep your suggestion about the navigation in mind, and thanks for the compliment about the content.

Good content, and a nice design. But what sets it apart from other gaming sites? There are hundreds of them out there already - IMO you need to work on a unique selling point, that's the only way to really boost the number of visitors.

Looks like a very nice layout to me (viewing with MSNtv)! I do agree that it might need something to set it apart from other gaming pages, though. Maybe some flash-intro home page that previews one of the latest games, gives an overview of your site, or something similar . . . with a link to enter your site (or, skip the intro) on it. Sounds easy, huh, LoL!.

Nice, easy-on-the-eyes colors, too! Good luck. Smiling

Hey fiesty, thanks for letting me know the site still looks good in MSNtv. What if the spotlight on the main page was flash? Would that be cool?? I'm not really in to splash pages.

Yeah, but you'd probably have to have some type of screen shots somewhere so it would load and it would look like the game was actually being played as the page was loading.

Hmmm, maybe some type of JavaScript (or something) slide show could work? I'm not sure about that, though.

If nothing else, perhaps the words "Featured Spotlight" could be made to change colors or something (maybe with JavaScript or Java also?).

I know what you mean about the flash or splash stuff. I don't think it adds THAT much myself, just puts a bit of a fancy touch to sites if done right. In other words, it'll work with or without it. I guess you have to consider what your target audience might like best, though.

Good luck. Smiling

No, don't go with putting up ANY flash things, gaming sites load really slow and of the few that I've visited, yours loads the fastest (which is a good thing coming from me since I'm on a slow connection), you don't want to jepordise that with a flash animation.

I agree your site is looking good though.

Might want to go with a more fluid design rather than a fixed width one, which I think would be quite a challenge with gaming sites. You up to it?

Apart from that, I think it looks pretty good.

I agree about not using ANY Flash on the page you have now. Flash, if ever used, would probably be best on an entirely different/separate home page (where you would click "Enter," "Skip Intro," or something) to get to the page you have now. But, again, that's just one more step for visitors to go through. The option "Skip Intro" would be wise for those visitors who would not care for the "flashy" introduction. Smiling

First off, I think you have a great, functional start. Second, Like its been mentioned before, your logo needs some enhancing. maybe loose the gradient or rearrange your top banner. congrats.
