Hello all!

Well it's been 5 or 6 months since I've been here , but now I need your excellent advice again... please. Smiling

I'm working on (another) redesign of one of my sites. Since my main problem is trying to keep up with new submissions I've tried to learn PHP so I can create the scripts to let everyone submit, edit, and delete their own artwork and info. Then all I have to do is approve or deny their submissions and I'm spared the endless hours of creating html pages for everyone.

Since the members log in requires a real email address (so I don't have to worry about validating emails), I won't even ask anyone to check the submission side of the site.

I would love your feedback on the visitor's view of the pages though. At the moment I'm still testing my scripts and working the bugs out so the only sections that are linked are:
Members: http://karencardinal.com/members/
Artwork: http://karencardinal.com/artwork/
and Events: http://karencardinal.com/events/

All the submitted info is just filler right now while I test the scripts. Once it's moved to my other domain, the real artists and instructors will be there instead.

If anything isn't working or doesn't make sence... or if you just simply hate the design... or think I have a funny sounding name...
please let me know. Smiling

Thank you so much in advance for any and all advice!

well i like the site, nice layout.
the pencil logo in the top left corner looks really jagged to me, cant you spruce up the image to make it look smoother?

on the /members page the link to "see visitors favorite work" has no art on the page, i dont know if this wasnt finished or if this was actually a problem.

on your login page you have alot of * on the sign in button, i think it makes the button look kind of large maybe you should take out the asterixes and move some of the letters to lower case. might make that button look better.

well anyways nice looking site.

anyone can do any amount of work provided it isnt the work they are supposed to be doing.

Thanks so much for the feedback jammin!
You're right about the pencil gif . It isn't quite right yet. I'm trying to make it look good whether it's laying on the pink, the grey/blue or the white, but I haven't found the right color for the background on the transparency yet. Hence the transparency without a background color and the jaggy look.

The problem with the favorites gallery must be in how the script is finding the user number for visitors. There should be one picture in the gallery. (If you want to add pictures to your favorites, or delete them from your favorites you're more than welcome).
I'll play around with it this afternoon and see what I can figure out.

Thank you also mucu_tronix for your comments.
Which graphics do you think need improving?
I want to keep the "frame" simple because the purpose of the site is to show off artwork and art lessons.
One of my designs had a very white and light grey (traditional gallery) look, but I found it too hard to keep all the nav elements seperated from the content that way.

There are a couple other design changes I'm thinking of, but I want to wait to see if anyone comments on them before deciding.

Thanks again!
