Hi Cadeh and welcome to TWF. Thanks also for reviewing a few sites.

Have you tried another color for the background? IMO, the two blues clash.

I would get rid of "My favorite color is green.":D That statement seems out of place on this site.

Others may disagree but I think you should add more text content and make sure that it is on the level of clients that may not know what all the web design jargon means.

I am not crazy about how you have your navigation set up and again....it's a personal preference.

I did enjoy your looking at your personal site. You do a very good job with flash. Your "little web site" was cute too.Smiling

It's ok but really needs something more. I agree that the two blues don't go together and you need some graphics or photos to liven it up. On larger screens/resolutions it really does just look lost on screen.

I think you need to introduce another color as well, just seems to be missing something.

there is a small white gap above the news section in NS4.7 and opera6 (as opera6)

Really cute, if that's what you were aiming for. For myself, I would go with a more aggressive look. Beef up the blues and add an additional color. Photos are a great way to get a big corp image, use them. And put a clearer home link on non-home pages. Love the Flash, you can do better I'm sure.

I see where your all coming from with the "there is just something missing". I did have a darker blue behind the links and news section but it seemed like the text was harder to read, so I went with the brighter blue. Ack. Maybe I will redo the logo but I like having the site small for some reason. I think im on a minimalistic (lots of "i"'s in that) kick right now.

I'm also aware of the small white gap in netscape. Couldn't figure that one out so decided to just leave it. That would really fly with a client hey? "I'm sorry but I just couldn't figure it out. I'm sure you understand. That'll be $750 please."

Well thanks for the comments. You'll probably see me around.

Not sure if this will help but take a look at it. Suzanne from TWF pointed this out to me the other day.

Hi cadeh,

At first glance I noticed you needed at least another color and a new logo (maybe 2 dimensional pixel art design).

Apart from that it's looks simple and easy to navigate which is the most important thing. On the Internet communication is king.

Best of luck.

Minimal look didn't bother me. The navigation did give me problems at first. When I rolled over what appeared to be the links they changed colors and the cursor changed to a hand -- in other words they did everything to convince me they were links... but they weren't.

Took me a while to realise the actual links appeared horizontally below. Even then, I had some trouble moving to the desired link because if I brushed an upper box it would change the links in the second line. I think the linking strategy you used was rather cumbersome myself.

I did like the rest of your site... I was amused by your "little" web page.

Thanks for that link disaster. One more reason netscape should be banned. hehe.

I changed the logo but the colors on it don't seem to match well. I just did the standard scan line effect. I think I might just go back to the other one. I feel like a trend whore. Oh the guilt is eating away at me. Haha. Anyway, I guess this just shows how different people see things. Some like it and some don't. Thanks for the comments.

I like that new top part but I liked your little boxes on the other one too. Do ya think you could do something with the little boxes as well? Like intergrate them somewhere in the top part youhave now? I think that would look very interesting cade.Smiling

I couldn't figure out a good way to put the boxes in it so I went with an exploding @ symbol instead. I put it in the right side. I was also thinking I could make multiple headers and rotate them like a banner ad rotator. Might be a cool effect for the person to see a different header each time it loads. Think so?

Hi Cade,

That isn't too bad.;)It does help to liven it up a tad. I can't say much about doing graphics though because I am awful when it comes to that.

Not sure about the rotating headers. I would have to see what you are talking about. (in other words....create it and let us see)Laughing out loud

That certainly gives the top part more umph now but I'm not sure about it changing, this may make the site loose it's identity and consitency. I'm still not sure of the blue background!

I just read that article, and I thought I should mention here that if that (gap problem) happens in NS6, it is possible to fix it by adding align=left/center/right to the image tag.

<img src="blah.gif" ... align="left">
'

I don't know if this is a true fix but it works for me. Smiling

I think the white space above News in N4.7 might be eliminated by closing the TD on the same line the content ends, i.e.,

This suggestion is more from a content point of view. You seem to be pushing pplz at your 'Website Enquiry Form'. From my experience, this will put alot of people off, as you seem to be saying, Use the form or I don't want to talk to you......
