those Es are very hard to read.

too redundant "At bWd, we want to design a website that meet your needs. We don't
want you to buy a package and then you are limited to what you get.
The prices and packages you see here are only a guideline and
all prices are negotiable!

We have three different packages to suit your web design needs!

Basic, Plus and Advanced."

why not just say that packages are starting points for pricing, and price increases with services.

the top blue line isnt full width, all the others are.

a 404 error on computers

some of the text was worded weirdly, may be a UK thing

Could you get any more banners on the page? Wink

Seriously though, it might be nice to think your going to make some money from the banners, but potential customers will just think that your hard up and in desperate need of cash. Plus you'll be very lucky if you make any serious money from them anyway.

I'd take off the golden web awards graphic as well if i was you. Everyone knows that they give them to ANY site that applies for it... it wont do your status any good.

Also, the which? web trader scheme has closed up and since you havent got the official which? code in your page i suspect you just nicked the image off another site...

All in all your site doesnt portray a very professional image, have a look at other web design companies and see how they conduct their sites to get a better impression of what you should be doing.

Its not a bad start really, i do like some of the parts of it, but here are a few things i don't like :

- the menu thing with the dropdowns, i don't like this because it seems to have just been plonked down on top of the rest of the site.
- Again, all the banners and awards logos etc. No web site designer that i know of would dream of putting a banner advert on their web site.
- The fact that you claim to be 'clearly the best', whether you are or not, its an arrogant claim and i don't like to see it, every designer is good at certain things and well nobody is 'the best' really. Writing this without backing up the claims will NOT increase your client base.

Thats all i can criticise Wink hehe, overall it could be a good site, just it looks cluttered with adverts and award logos etc. (which as someone said, aren't all legit anyway Wink)

Another suggestion i'd make is to increase your portfolio in size, whether they are real clients or not, create some templates and design some logo examples, because clients need a good idea of what you can do and a few little sites will not show everybody your skills.

Also, on the drop-down menu where you've got 'Portfolio' and then 'Overview' and the three site examples, that would be better to have 'Web Design' and 'Graphic Design' and then when these are clicked, links to the respective page. I mean, what happens when you have 15 web sites on there, the drop-down will be huge! Just a suggestion, though Smiling

Did you know that the Portfolio link at the bottom is a deak link, as well?

That's me done i think Wink Keep up the good work on it and keep in mind some of the suggestions we've made and it will look great Smiling

Good luck!!

Hi,
I've taken into account about everything that was written above, and i have made changes to the main page.
Is it any better?

I find the site somewhat wishy washy, with no real design element to pull it all together. The blue used isn't a nice blue IMO and makes the site feel old. The header area seems a bit of a mish-mash of ideas with the logo sticking out like a sore thumb rather than being incorporated into the header. The image of the girl is ok (although what the rest is I'm not sure) but your logo doesn't look very professional, neither does that graphic stuck in the main section.

You have a starting point here but I'd re-think the logo and colour scheme and have a look at some other web design sites to see how they do things.

Reviewing some of the other sites here will also help with some ideas!

The blue bar at the very top is a bit dodgy... it sticks out across the page with no real function... i'd take it out if I was you.

yeah i agree on the blue also, experiment with different shades, a darker one or lighter one perhaps, not just the standard blue. After seeing that large banner in the centre, i'm not sure about it, i think its the kinda scotland flag type of gradient in the background, these never look professional to me.

I also noticed quite a few spelling errors in the text throughout, not portraying an image of professionalism either Wink

I wouldn't have made this site live until it was finished either.

possibly change the font in your graphics... I think it's not very professional... but just my opinion

About fonts, i've always been a stickler for simplicity. For example, i never use other than Verdana or Arial for body text these days and usually serif fonts for graphic images. I justthink this aids readability and helps to keep things looking neat and tidy.

That font thats used on the banner is quite a futuristic font without being too OTT, so its still readable and everything.

pick a feature and stick with it. "only the best at the cheapest prices around" well we all know you get what you pay for.

"we offer affordable custom web design" sounds alot better than cheap and the best!

get rid of the links page, you dont want to send potential customers somewhere else.

still 404 on computers -Josh

PS UK says LET instead of RENT? weird!
