I don't know where to start...

1. You should change the background color from gray to black since that is what you are using in your logo and the java applet.

2. The menu links are hard to read on the dark blue background.

3. The text is aligned to the left, but the logo is centered or something.

4. The menu categories (the yellow texts) are way too big and they seem rough on the edges. Also they do not fill the whole column which leaves a little darkblue space to the right of each of them.

5. You should center the menu links instead of putting ___ infront of them.

6. Not to be rude or put you down, but that is an extremely unprofessional and ugly site for someone offering web design services. You need a site that will help you get new customers, not scare them away.

Firstly thanks for looking at some of the others sites - maybe have a look at a few more for some inspiration.

The first thing is to get rid of that flash intro! It's not doing you any favours but if you insist on keeping it then put a skip intro link on there, as right now if you wait for the intro there is no way out again until it's finished!! If you are going to promote flash work then it has to be very good.

The site has a small horizontal scrollbar at 800*600. I pretty much agree with everything that Zollet said, except for backing the background black! You need a much better colour scheme as this is really drab and a proper design. The graphics for the link headings has to be much better as well as they are really jaggedy and look ameteurish and I'm sorry to say, so does the writing style - watch out for words running into each other.

Your portfolio page isn't much of an inspiration either - you need to make this very inviting to prospective clients! Best bet is to remove the actual browser parts from the screen shot and make sure they are clear and easy to look at so that people want to click on them to look at the site further - which they can't do as there aren't any links (even though you say to let you know of any dead links - not a good sign!!)

Has your SEO got his hands on this site yet?

Most people use website not web site.

You have quite a nice site here, but you have a bit to work on i think. I suggest you get some better looking graphics for the header and nav headings, and with your main information, make a background for that seperate to the others. At the moment it looks like the just is sitting there, looks a little strange imo.

Although it quite suits this site, a black background isn't really recommended.

The header animation should definatly be removed, you want people to be reading or at least looking at your content, don't deter them with an animation.

Blue navigation links also don't work well either, try a lighter colour, grey or white usually works well.

The navigation title graphics should be a bit better too, try also some padding in the navigation table.

Blue links are a problem to read, now tan still not to sure about that color but it is easy to read and standa out from the rest of the text will play with them more to get a better match. The navigation title graphics are now a text replica. Didn't want a black background but it fit's it the best I think. Played with the background and text colors just coouldn't find a color mix that I liked.

Webmistress just so you know I didn't ignore you I'm working on the screen shots.

I want to thank everyone for thier help. I do need to learn more and am working on it. The rest of guy's involved building the sites agree with what you have said, but I wanted to do this on my own without thier help. Call it a learning thing or being stuborn which ever I did learn from it.
Again Thanks.

With a little work on the space ship on the header, and the portfolio page images I will be happy with the site that I have built, with the added content on the other pages.

Thanks to all that have gave me some help....

Webmistress,
Contrary to what your eye’s did see there is a SKIP INTRO on the intro page. Not really sure HOW you missed it but it is there.

It is there but it's *inside* the movie. Once the intro starts, skipping is no longer an option. You need to provide a skip link *outside* the movie

Hi, as stated in above posts, get rid of the intro, if I come accross a site that has an intro, I just exit out of it, I am there to see what the person has to offer, not to see a intro, also, I would change the yellow text on the left to white, just does not look right with all of your other text white and those being yellow I do like your image you have in the upper right left hand corner though...Smiling

Well, First of all I don't like the site navigation, and black backgroung of the site, it would looks nice on white background! but if you want to use black color as a site background, my advice is to use DHTML or Flash navigation with sharp color and graphics, so it will add cool charm to your site and looks more professional as the site is about WEB PRODUCTION!
Overall, you done a nice work!

Gone by overwhelming demand LOL and I was getting tired of it also the intro.

Weblord
As I have stated before I'm not to crazy about the black background either but it most certainly does fit to the banner better than a white background.

I just thought I would throw in a Mac person's perspective. Your menu doesn't show up properly on my browser. I decided to show you what I mean by taking a snapshot of it. http://www.reality-television.net/images/alien/alienweb.jpg (we'll see if I can post html here) anyway, even though Macs make up only about 5 percent of the people on the net, it can still be significant. I've found the most browser and platform compliant method of building sites is to forget about layers for now, stick with tables. Eventually they will be supported properly by more platforms and browsers.

If I can't post the html, you can see the snapshot at my profile url, and add "images/alien/alienweb.jpg" (with out the quotation marks)
