All works ok in IE5.5, the layout is fine and the colours work well for the subject matter. I would make the text slightly larger as it is very small and I would bring the top up slightly by reducing the top margin.
In NS4.78 the bottom of the navigation is missing. Ok in NS6.2 but with a very small horizontal scrollbar at 800*600. Opera6 there is a large horizontal scrollbar at all resolutions.
Julia - if life was meant to be easy Michael Angelo would have painted the floor....
In Opera6 I get no horizontal scrollbar as long as the window is bigger than your blue table... The navigation on the left the file folders look faded and not very good.... I like the table in the centre and the colour scheme works well...
I just never realised tuppac was a makavelian...

If you go to BlueSparks.com there is a program there called BlueSend. You can use a text link or image to call it. It's an easy way to promote your site because visitors who like your site will use it to refer their friends. Here is an example at one of my sites: http://www.acleverpenny.com/AllThingsChristmas/
Just click the "Share This Site" button.

Well spelling it correctly "Machiavelli" was an italian guy who wrote a book on his point of views...
A "Machiavellian" is someone who shares those views and is Suggestive of or characterized by expediency, deceit, and cunning...
There you go.... Not sure of the context its used on this website though?
It is a very crisp layout, and I think it is excellent. In resolutions 8x6 to 1280x1024 it still looked very good. I didn't think the text was too small, but i love small verdana

I know who Machiavelli was and what the term refers to but just wondered why the incorrect spelling and what relevance there was!!

As a photographer who's just put up his own site - richardnicholson.com - I'm curious about copyright issues. Do you have copyright clearance for the hundreds of images in your gallery. If not, what happens when a photographer uses Google Images (or whatever) and finds his or her photograph on your site. I would guess that they'd either send you an invoice or ask your ISP to stop hosting your site. Is this something you have ever had to deal with?
The reason for the different spelling of "Makaveli" is simply because that is the name he went under in the last year or so of his career. He also rapped with another group for a while called the outlawz and they also had names taken from other history figures "Fatal Hussein" "EDI" "Napolean" "Kastro" "Kadafi" and so on.
FocusFinder, I've never had any trouble with copyright. if any photographer e-mails me and asks for an image to be removed or credit given, then i'd be more then happy to do so. The images have just been taken from around the net and after all it's just a fan site, so i dont think im taking money out of anyones pockets.

Copyright is not about money, it's about control. And you are in violation of copyright if you just take images from "around the web" and use them for yourself. Getting written permission is often just a matter of sending off an email. It also promotes good will, and better linking opportunities than just stealing the images, which is what you are doing if you take them without written permission.
Don't get all fussed about me telling you this, either. It's the law, not my opinion.
95% of the images i have on there had no copyright info with them. i am meant to spend months finding who took the photos, then another week sending out 155 e-mails? or maybe have an image free website?
I shall not fear no man but god, though I walk through the valley of death...shed so many tears.
copyright can be a very touchy subject, look at metallica and napster, or the ladys who made up the happy birthday song ...
most clip art on the web is usually free to use, some stock photos are as well but not always.
your is a fan club so you could be ok (key word is could), as it is actually promoting the work. you should place a notice sayiing something like they are all believed to be of public domain or where sent to you ... will give credit or remove on request
you could track down the agent since a lot of the photos are studio shots, they will/might put you on the right track, plus letting the agents know about your site could get some sponsorship out of it, then again they could close you down.
Very nice design. The color scheme works well and I like the logo. I used to be a big gangster rap fan back in the day but found out it only led to death and prison. I hope your site projects a positive message to the youth. Your site has the opportunity to make or break a youth’s life.
P.S. There seems to be a little too much space at the top.
Like the colors, LOVE the images - but one of my personal pet peeves is entering a site I know nothing about, only to not be able to tell what the site is about. I realize that this situation doesn't occur for most users, (as they are probably entering any given site for a very specific reason), but sometimes I enter a site blind and with this one, at least, I couldn't quickly tell whether the site was about a band named Makaveli, or if Makaveli was the name of a site all about rappers, or maybe the site is something else entirely.
The small image above the menu that reads "[Navigation]" looks a bit pixilated. Perhaps you were going for this touch, but I would suggest a smoother, more displayable font.
Second is the use of folders to mark links in the menu. I feel this style is too played out. Your site has alot of originality to it, I am sure you could come up with something that blends with the site more.
Other than that, excellent.

Loaded quickly. Great layout- attractive and clean. Colors are a bit dark but well matched and I like them. Navigation looks good and easy to follow.
i saw the bookmark button, but didn't see a "Refer a Friend."
Have to agree that the text is a bit small making it difficult to read.
Overall I would give it very high marks.
