Review new site: www.backtonatural.com
I'm very new to site making and coding etc. but I would love it if you could critique my site as harshly as possibe because I really do want to improve it
Thank you so much. I'm also looking for link exchange, so if anyone is interested, let me know by email [email protected].

The top banner is far too deep and the site is dull and boxy.
Also... don't put presentational stuff in your (yours contains ----->) the title is designed for a quick summary of the page. It's not designed to look fancy in your address bar.
Finally... your code is a real mess. Looking at your source code there is some really weired stuff going on:
<end>
<!--FreeWebs Counter Code Begin--><script type =" text/javascript" src="http://counters.freewebs.com/Members/Counters/tracker.jsp"></script>
<!--FreeWebs Counter Code End-->
<BODY BGCOLOR=Aliceblue>
</end>
is not valid html code and you certainly shouldn't have tags near the end of your document!
On the good side you have plenty of content but you really need to present it better and tidy up your code a bit. How did you create the site? I would reccomend you give the 30 day trail of Macromedia Dreamweaver a try (from macromedia.com).

Hi
In my opinion, the title graphic would benefit from a little more work. The leaf detail is difficult to make out, also the text needs anti-aliasing. Do you really need to use iFrames? I think the menu would benefit from a little organization - there are simply too many choices demanding attention, presented in a visually cluttered way. As Suzanne used to say, start with Validating!

I think ... first the name is not the best... it doesn't make grammatical sense - back to nature ... sure... back to natural sounds forced.
The photo makes me feel...somehow.... uncomfortable.
Is foodism a word? ... and if it is I don't think it should be.
The text in the banner is pixilated - clean it up in photoshop.

I think you should use some more css to cut down on the html atributses and clean up your code.
If your gonna use css go the whole way and dont just put five lines

one thing i have as apet hate is css link mouse overs where the text goes from normal to bold, it shifts the other tegs around and just feels unprofessional. why not use colour to highlight the mouseover

Everyone is way to harsh. There is nothing wrong with the site in my opinion!
It looks nice, well presented and good colours. The shoutbox adds a feel of community to the site.
Now, onto the source code......
I'm much like you. My source code is always a mess and I can never find what I'm looking for when I go to make changes. But if it works, I don't think there is any problem. Doesn't really matter how you do it as long as it gets done.
Well done on a great site!

Well i think that the top is kinda big and it should match up with the bottom better ..by making it wider ,take the beginning of the bottom background image and take make it solid whit so that when the page is extended wide you cannot tell that the image starts/stops. other than that clean up that html a little and your good. but remember this is just my opinion if your happy with the page then our advice is just our personal preference. The page is functional the way it is and the color plan is great.

a good way to fix the banner would be to have the leves fade into white out to the right and set the background color to white to the right of it inbetween the green lines this means on most screen sizes There will be no horizontal scrolling

I agree that top banner is way too big.. The nature of the site is great but you've gotta tighten things up a bit.
