Review my webstore!
Hey guys im starting my own webstore selling home security products/cameras.
For the moment, we made the template. The products that are on the site are from the coding for the webstore by oscommerce(link at bottom of page). Our products will be added(and those removed) once we receive our shipment.
I would like some constructive criticsm. Thank you. We hope to be up and running completely in the next 3 weeks.

initial impressions:
the photos look terrible - you really need to clean those up, make them fully transparent
the image of a flower for check-out is not intuiative - it should be clear from the icon what it is, otherwise it's useless. Those images could be clearer (bigger?) too
Ther's no navigation to speak of on the front page, andwhen you go deeper the nav is so small it's easy to miss.
The design is fine - if a touch dull - but it feels claustrophobic to me - everything is packed in tight with no room to breathe
just my 2 cents

Hi There Ngig
Had a look at your site, and just givng a few first impressions.
The colour scheme is quite good, but perhaps try something deeper, more businesslike or "serious" There is an empty "cartoonish " effect from the entry page. It's only slight, but it's there. This feeling is definitely given weight when the visitor clicks on "categories". Those clipart images would not inspire me to invest any cash at all. I want to see real things if I'm going to sepnd money, not cartoons.
Also, The actual products as shown on the front page look like they were cut out rather badly. Perhaps some cleaning up of images would help.
Those are my only bugbears. Apart from that it seems a nippy little site, friendly and easy to use. I tried all the join up thingys and all seems in order there.
Best of luck with your site
Mack

your site had a nice feel about, but it did take a bit to load. Once you are in the site it is not bad. However, first notice is that it resembles many other sites like it 'out there'. Maybe something to make the visitor stay once there. Not bad. Just a newbie opinion.

First up, falling snow flakes, not very professional, great to impress the kids but not anyone else.
Not sure if you're having problems or not but none of your images are showing and no style sheet, I tell a lie there is one image showing - a mouse and the flags. ok after looking at your style sheet and switching back it loaded.
The red links on hover are very hard on the eyes on the blue, and the site is very blue.
Your date is wrong, so your using PHP for it, use Javascript if you want the correct time (note PHP time is based off your hosts server, this itself can be different to others in the US).
Forst thing I want to know is if you'd ship over seas, your 'information' is to far down. A pet peeve of mine is sites like this, you visit it once and there is in your face links to register, check out ... when you dont even know what the products are, how good the site is and stuff. Is real off putting.
These snow flakes are driving me nuts - had to disable javascript to finish viewing your site (dang flakes over the text, grrr)
Anyways, the pages like shipping and returns needs to be broken down into sections, at present it's one long string. ok read most of it, but is more a terms and conditions than a shipping and returns page. no privacy notice. Conditions of use is the same as shipping and returns but spaced out well ?
Your javascript pop up isn't working on images, popup blocking is blocking it. You need to rewrite the code then. With javascript disabled (yeah I re enabled to check pop up) the image is popping up n a new window - real annoying, have it open in the same window with your logo/banner, small description and visible link/method to get back to page you were on.
The 'more info' on visitors/members cart is javascript based with nothing for javascript disabled. Again wont work as popup blocker is blocking it
