Review my design portfolio please - Review my design portfolio please
Hi,
- Fantastic logo.
- no home link once in the site.
- the black on the man is different to the black in the nav menu,
- overall it looks pretty good but I really think it could have been done without frames.

Great site, very retro
Couple of things.
1. On entrance page change counter to hidden.
2. All pages with white background need bgcolor="#FFFFFF" added to body tag.
Site is a lot of fun

Hey Jim, is it possible to hide those things, I thought the hiding was a payed option?????
Hi Chris,
Love the retro thing you have happening here!!! This is another site I could ramble on forever about but I'll try to keep it brief without doing my "worse".
Great graphics, design! -- nice color scheme
Love your site map -- good sence of humor at work here!!
the only thing I see that really looks "funny" with my small monitor is the table with your "welcome to my portfolio" an inch smaller and it would fit perfectly in that space.
when I clicked on "contact" I got this message:
"could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed" (ie 4.0)
I really think you have great marketable skills and with a little exposure (this forum is a good start) people will want to "hire this guy"
Best of luck,

Chris,
Great site. Contact link works in NS.
Kinda makes you realize that you really can sell something on the internet without being a "stuffed shirt"!
Keep up the good work.

Boy! You guys are just too nice! Thanks for the feedback.

You are absolutely right about the home link and the black in the graphics. Gotta fix that.
This was my first attempt at a web site. It seemed easier at the time to put it together with frames (i know lots of people have an irrational hatred of them=)but it does become a problem if you have a small monitor.
My goal was to keep my name visible at all times. I would like to redo the site for frameless people, but I don't know if its worth the energy-- there's about 150 pages in there. Is there any easy way to convert a framed site to non-frames?
Jim
I checked the counter. On my computer it shows up as black letters on a black background. On everyone else's it is black on a white background. Weird. I guess I'll make it readable on my computer and invisible on everyone else's.
Does it matter if I don't have the color tag? What could happen?
Carolyn
Thanks! I'll change the table thing.

What was my price? It was free. I did it myself.
Thanks everyone. It's great to finally find a group that is supportive and helpful at the same time.

Hi Chris. A little late, I know but I just stopped by your site, and it does look very good. I was impressed, and I am a web designer! Keep up the good work, you definitely have talent.

Chris,
Re: the conversion to frames there is a fairly easy way to go, but it would be very tedious.
- Use the same design as the one that comes up with the frames up - but use tables to recreate the effect so you have a template to work with.
- With a bit of fidling you could go through all the pages licking out the code and putting it in the template, then saving it as a different page name.
- Tedious it will be, but probably worth it in the long term as you will aslo find/and fix many bugs (that's just the way it work )
