Re-thought Design
Hello once more.
I've re-thought my design options, and here's what I've come up with.
http://www.thenga.com/main.php3
There are still a few broken links.
Please give me load times, thoughts on colors, images, my logo etc.
If you can, please register and try to log-in and post in the forums... I'm not public in the Gaming world yet, so I'll clear my databases before I do
Rip/review my site please!
Thank you!

I think you need a better icon, this one is a little plain and jagged.
the time says: Official NGA Time is 4:27 PM
Today is The 22nd of December, 2001
but my pc and all the clocks around the house say its 10:30 am Dec 23rd, If you use the time (there is no real reason to use it) use javascript to display it, php works off your servers time so the time will only be the same as people in the state your server is in, where as javascript works off the users pc time.
The font size is very big, and your side links are very spaced out, you have them in sections which is good but maybe make the links one line after another until it gets to another section/topic then two lines then back to one ...
also not to keen on those bright green dots.
I think you need a shape or style in the page, looks to much like one big bit, maybe try do a seperat top, side and content section.
Theres a lot of missing information, things such as who can join, when the season starts and finishs, what time zones you work by (if its open international), are the rules international, like snooker has a rule per country it seems.
off to a good start (displays similar in NS)keep it up

The reason I have the time is because there are scheduled tournaments and stuff, and people are always arguing about when they are supposed to start. By setting a system time, there is no argument as to which time zone the tournaments run on.
No season start/finish yet, because I'm still gathering info on it.
I dont really like the green dots either, but I'm not sure exactly what I should have.
Font size is big? What is your resolution and screen size?
It came up kinda big on my 15.1" laptop, but my 17" and 21" regular screens came up fine...
How was the load time?
Still working on the logo... It is jagged, but unintentionally
Thanks

hey NGM - I'm on a cable line; loads instantly - the time displays correctly for mme, but I've had some people say my PHP clock gives them an incorrect time as well - I guess a js may be the best idea if you/we can't get the PHP model to work for everyone - one typo: "Welcome to the National Gaming Association!"
