Recently fininshed my first 'real' website
For an upcoming feature film that is going to be shot next year, it's more or less for promotion material for potention investors, check it out and let me know what you think? http://www.beforetheysleep.com/

Intro - the words are coming up a little too slowly I think, and I'd like to see a little more eye candy here - maybe a photo or something, I don't know... When it's done playing nothing happens so I have to press "skip intro".
First page - looks pretty good but I think the different page elements could be combined with each other a little better. Maybe work the film title in with the photo collage a little more. Maybe switch them around so the picture is on the right and the "Before They Sleep" text overlaps it a little bit.
The navigation there is a little on the dull side. Try switching it to a sans-serif font or some sort of graphic.
I clicked on the "Facts" link and I was immediately confused - I thought you had sent me to a different site or something. The intro and front page give me a sort of dramatic, romanitc impression of the film but here you've got all this stuff about airlines safety and crashes and stuff. The fonts here are much more angular than the romantic script you have on the front page.
So now I click on "film" and then "producers" and get another different look and feel. You need to coordinate the designs better - it's okay to have slightly different looks for each level in the site but they need to work together to present a coherent message to the viewer. I feel that the fonts are the main problem - switching from the scripted romantic look to the typewriter and block combo.
Hey, are you a Newfie????

I looked away as the flash intro was showing and missed a word or two so coudnt figure what it was saying (i usually always skip intros anyway).
I like the index, the title font, color and size are perfect, real grab ya type thingy.
the face is a little to dark, can only just make it out, maybe lighten this just a tad.
the image on the left has a alt tag saying "one sheet" so am left guessing, one sheet what?
The links are to plain compared to the rest, maybe make them bold, forget the date unless its a showing on date, use that space for a director name, or better yet a stars name/s
I went in a couple of pages but felt really let down, you have this awesome index (not the intro) then the next is just blah, maybe fade the images, overlap a couple, give it the same mystery the index has.
I also notice you have a lot of links throughout, maybe add a sitemap listings all sections and pages.
keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing more

Not bad, I cannot read the text on the left of the page to easy "I's never to late for the truth" it is a bit blury. I still cannot work out why the tag on the left image reasds "one sheet". . ? The links menu seem a bit plain maybe liven it up.. image? or Font... Bold,Italic?. ..
I like the subpages .. .they seem cool maybe the menu you have on the subs, you should add to front.. to sort the menu prob.. anyway .. pritty cool looking site..
Keep up your work!, well done!
Thx

Hiya,
I have to agree, Flash intro did nothing to grab my attention. The main page did, that's great but you really need to use height & width tags for the images and not so many for the spacing/layout.
Other pages - I kinda like the feel of them but they just don't tie in woth the main page.
Some very emotive photo's on there!
Julia - if life was meant to be easy Michael Angelo would have painted the floor....

The text that you have for "skip intro" is jaggy looking. For the intro, it seems like it needs to move faster. Each scene has too much of a gap in between them. If you aren't paying attention you will get lost as to what it is saying.
I love the page after the intro. That orange text on black and image that you have looks great. But... the links that you have (Fact, Fiction, Film) were a little confusing to me. There isn't anything telling you what they go to. Maybe some text introducing the site would clear this up. Your text links are jaggy through out the site. I'll bet Megan has already mentioned this....let me see if she did.....yep she did. haha!!
Also, after looking around a bit I am still confused as to what I am getting in to. You need some explainations for those of us who want to know where we are going and why. Is it worth it to click this link?
Some of your navigation is to the right of the body and some is to the left and yet other navs are at the top. I would make these the same throuhg out the site. I'd loose the red bar at the top that you have on some of the pages too. Looks like a different site.
What font is that that you are using for the title, "Before they sleep"?
