OK ... more: what can I find there: what type of jokes, maybe clips and so on. Try to leave the part with the greatest new site .. it looks like a kid's site... Trust me .. if you saw some sites you'll know some are the greatest, and unfortunatelly our sites are so far from that

Next tips: try some images, won't hurt And put more content in the first page. The site is not bad, don't get discouraged, just look for some improvements and you'll be fine

As i said, I will soon be making a better version on a proper webdesign program (e.g dreamweaver)

also does anyone know if taking funny pictures off a site (e.g ahajokes) and putting them on mine is illegal , also how could i get funny pictures for free to go on my site

First I would try to improve on my use of space. I realize it's hard sometimes to get into the swing of web page design ( I don't do any better ). But you know the old saying, "don't do as I do - do what I say".

I would also try to come up with a little different color scheme. This shade of red, with white text is not as bad as the last one I looked at. My eyes are still watering from that one.
But it would be a big improvement! to find another scheme when you do the better plan. The worst though is all of those empty margins. Hang some pix in there, or make them a different color than the text body.

I would change that slogan. If you have a slogan, I should be able to tell what your site is all about just be reading it. If you can make it something unique, so much the better.

Any site can make the claim yours does. And guess what? Only one can actually be the greatest, and the slogan isn't what does it.

As others have mentioned, the red color scheme is a little hard on the eyes. Not that the color scheme itself is bad, just that a much lighter color should be used as the main background of the page.

Coll Idea on a site... But you dont need Dreamweaver to build a graphically cool site, simple is better, fast is best, content is the ultimate...

Demon hale whats up with that horible background image make it simple, and using css to keep background images in the same place my be the most annoying thing in the world.
If you just fixed that yoir site would be great because it distracts you from the content.
and a constant color scheme would be nice cuz you can never tell if your still on your site or not.

thanks man, i hope u red my original thread, sorry to this threads owner. Anyway the site isnt yet consistent coz I got 3 alternative home(front) page, as you can see other links are not yet fixed. Thanks a lot coz ill be making more contemporary design which ive done before with html and dhtml, javascript at http://demonhale.tripod.com/halestorm/index2.html, this one has an overflowing text and background field... hope to get more feedbacks soon

Content good, display newbie. You fill a lot of absolute must haves of a website. Your site is readable and (relatively) attractive. The problem being, I see the page and think, eh this kid made a little website and plopped some content into a decent format and thinks he's done.

I see this website as what should be the first in a series of formats. You will want to revamp this completely within the next few weeks. If you are going to use this background, make your text #000000 the current color is a little off.(I don't know what it is, I looked at your CSS briefly and decided it wasn't worth the hasel, my appologies, but it's 2:30 in the morning). You have to change that title, man. Why are you advertising your host so hardcore? It says bravenet twice right in your title. You won't get any search results off of that.

Tabs look all right, they're very "I just learned XHTML/CSS but I learned it pretty well." You know what your doing, time to get artistic.

You need some links on your joke pages. You could even make a simple list of text links at the top and have tag pairs like and then before the why ask why one section This way people don't have to scroll so much. The internet is for people who are to lazy to walk to a library, keep that in mind.

You're doing well, you seem new at this and you need to continue to look at websites and think, "what makes this a good/bad website?" and try to emulate the good and eliminate the bad.
