Welcome to TWF Johannes,
First of all I would ask that you particiapte in some of the other threads in this forum and review at least three other's sites before you receive one on your own. This will also help you with ideas for your site.
My first impression of the site however:
Definitely needs a logo and maybe some buttons/graphics for the navigation to liven the page up as at the moment is just seems a wee bit bland. Pastels are ok but this looks a bit wishy washy!
I'll carry on having a look and post my findings later.
Look forward to reading your thoughts on some of the other sites.

Your site isn't bad but I am finding it to be a little outdated looking I guess. Needs to be modernized I guess.
The first thing you need is a better logo. The easiest way to do this is to Find a unique font and use it to make a graphic of your site name. Pretty easy. The next thing you need is a better navigation bar. The options here are boring looking and a little difficult to decipher. I might list it something like:
Search !
Shop Directory
Freebies
Artists
Also left align that instead of centering. Centering almost always looks unprofessional. Also find a better image for that bar along the top where the sunset is. What you have there is first of all too small and secondly of rather poor quality. You might want to integrate a photo with your logo, maybe a series of famous posters or something... I don't know. More design elements are needed.
Now that I've looked around a bit I'm wondering what the point is. The directory is good, but the posters by categories...well, I really don't see the point. Why shouldn't I just go to one of the big posters sites and get a much larger selection?
Oooh - I love how you've indicated in your poster shop list whether the store ships internationally - I would use your site just for that. I hate having to dig around on an e-commerce site just to find out if they'll ship to me or not and how much it's going to cost me. I really can't believe what some of these sites are trying to charge for "international" shipping. One site I don't see on here is the Movie Poster Warehouse in Toronto.

First Impressions:
Loads very quick on a 56K modem. It may be me but at first glance it looks as though you have used a bog standard template for the site. What I mean is taht the standard font, layout & color is almost as if it has been generated for you....
I like the effect you have used for the mouseOver on the left navigation bar but I think the color scheme is wrong. When I mouseOver I would like to see a little more definition on the link to make it stand out more. Try using a different background color on the mouseOver effect...
The search engine works great! Found exactly what I was looking for first time...
I like the site! I think it is a good idea and the overall layout is great. One big problem is though I wouldn't buy from it as the overall look and feel is a little amateurish! (sorry if that was a little harsh) Get this right and I think you'll be on a winner!

Looking at your code, see your using style sheets for background postitioning (I'm the one who cant spell ), the reason i looked at your code (which is hard to follow btw) is your page is very cut up and defaulted in Netscape, add this to your body tag topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"
I had a quick look to see if I could find the table fault (the sunset is patchy - bits missing) but your code being in 3 lines for the first part of your page is really hard to work out. but guessing I'd say you have a blank table cell and arent using , or are using % for an image width, or have a gap in an image name.
I clicked on "more infomation" after doing a search, it took me to another site (i think), allposters.com, then saw some more selections so looked some more, but these others arent apart of your site are they? If I brought one from allposters.com you wouldnt make the money? OOHhh ok, silly me, its a click thru thing. (to pricey for me to but any)
I couldnt find the shipping prices, but figured the prices are US dollars
maybe bevel the blue bits, blend them as already mentioned, change the yellow to white and a logo

To me the site looks a little bland and dull. Even the sunset looks a little boring since it is mostly blue. It would be better IMHO, if you had the sunset in a more natural color to give your site a little color.
The site is not bad, it is just a little boring.

Tnx a lot my friends!
I generate the code with excel makros, and the output is without linebreaks. So I'm impressed you even bothered to read the code!
Marving, why not and ? The alternative to get some horisontal space is I guess with an invisible gif. Is that better?
Busy, I didn't know that the table looked bad in Netscape. I tried NS6 and it worked ok. I'll look into it. When you click on More information... you come to for example Allposters. I will get 20% commission when you buy. See Affiliate program on my page.
I get very good input from several people from this forum so I'll review some more of your sites!

As far as using , just put it in a table, with rows and cells. You can use cellpadding and/or cellspacing to space the cells properly. Both cellspacing and cellpadding have their little caveats. If you use cellspacing and your table color is different from the body, then you will see the spacing in Netscape. There are ways to fix this but be aware of it. Cellpadding does not suffer the same problem in NS, but it will make your table bigger. As far as using the & nbsp; , it is just considered bad practice to use it. It is okay to use it to keep a cell from collapsing in NS.
I also suspected that your code was generated since generated code is often hard to read like that.
