I'd prefer to read your page with a more consistent font... Sizing ain't too bad, I think you could just keep the colours and font type flowing a little more.

Easy enough to navigate tho *nods*

ok, first impression;-

- text is too skinny
The font used on the "FREE Gift Reminder Service Captures The Website Visitor Personal Dates, Important Events & Product/Service Interest!" and in the header/image looks abit pixelates/jaggered. I think you need to standardise your fonts a little more and the sizes too.

I went to benefits after the main page and coundn't see a register now or take the tour button?

I don't understand why there's a picture of 5 people headlining your page. Also, some of the graphics (for example - the 'No Risk' and flashing 'Reminder' need a bit work.)

Overall, despite all of the above, it was alright. I definitely think you need to lose the picture of the famous five, standardise your fonts and get a more headline grabbing banner in there at the top.

Cheers

I like Trebuchet - think it looks professional and neat. Keep away from fancy fonts.

As for the headline, I didn't cotton on until I read for abit. I think it's the headline - give it more punch. Just off the top of my head.

WebMasters - Keep Your Surfers For More Than Just One Visit...

Seeing this, you can then lure them in further with;

tired of ppc, seo and links bringing you traffic in - only to see it go again without any reward.... (you get the picture).

These are just my thoughts since my site is nothing like yours - just what I think.

Hope it works ok!

I would do the following to enhance your website:

-Make sure the fonts are consistent in terms of size and format. Looking at the
various pages, I see many different type fonts. I would pick one and used it
for the different pages.

-I would eliminate the RED color fonts on all pages as it doesn't coordinate well with the content. Pick a color font that is much user friendly to see and read.

Email+Password is different to 'Forgot Password' which is different to home, benefits, plans. Goto Serviceplans.php and have a look at the font type & size at the bottom of the page... Also (now this is nit picking), there appears to be a spacing gap after Home & Contact us?

Having said all that - it's looking better. Especially with the uniformed font - good choice Wink I can see that you've improved the No Risk logo - but that 'Reminder' button is still there.

Now, my next bit is the font sizing - I'm looking at the TakeaTour.php. The font sizes vary greatly. I can understand you wanting to make a headline, but the font sizes go up and down alot (my opinion of course).

The last bit - scrolling text. It looks ok, but there's too many colours.

RemindMe, just say if you're keeping the logo at the top etc then I wont bang on about it

Are the keywords:

Internet Marketing Tool - 132,650 monthly searches
WebSite Visitor Marketing Tools - 0 monthly searches
Reminder Service Script - 0 monthly searches

Really the keywords that you want to rank for in the SERPs? Your title tag plays an important role in search engine positioning and these 3 keywords are in your title.

You may want to consider doing some keyword research on better keywords to target.

You don't have any meta tags. Your H1 tag needs to target your main keyword.

You need to do some serious thinking about what keywords or key phrases your target audience would search for in order to find your service.

If you were to try to gain position in the SERPs with your page as-is, you would not see good results.

Overall your concept is great. I would use brighter background colors to give a fresher look. Use cell spacing to pull your text away from the border of your background color.

Hope this helps

Hi, the trail I took was:

1 Home
2 FAQ - I wanted quick information to understand the product and I always find FAQs are a good way to find out what I want to know easily
3 Take a Tour - had a quick look at the demo screen
4 Service Plan - I then wanted to know the price plans

I have to say that the site layout works well - everything I wanted to know I found out easily - I might even utilise the service on my own site as I want people to come to my gigs and it might prove to be a simpler way to do that than the calender I am using at the moment. So it worked for me.

I do agree that graphically it needs some work though - I agree with the people who don't like the image of the people on the top and I think the Guarantee logo looks like the Tussauds World of Adventures logo

If you compare for instance your "Home" link to your "Take a tour Link" the fonts are not the same. It is the same for the others link. Try a pick a standard font for all the pages and where you need to highlight something very important apply bold. Also for Titles and subtitles make the Fonts a little bigger but make sure it is coordinated in all the pages.

Also try to avoid "Blinking" messages as they can be very annoying like the "remind me" found on your "Take a tour Link".

Anyone have anything in regads to what trail you took on the site??

They have: 14 posts

This was my trail:
1. Home
2. Take the tour now (Homepage)
(spelling mistake of "permanent" on page 1 of tour)
3. Through to the end of tour
4. Service plans
5. Back here

I would have preferred that the homepage had better explained what service you are offering without over complicating things. It took me a few pages to get the jist of your service, when actual fact your service is very simple! You are offering a reminder service that users can implement on their own websites, and manage any contacts gained from that service. My initial feeling of the look from the first page was that I had found one of those Ebook pages scattered all over the net that you dont bother to read and just go straight to where they ask for $xxxx!
My advice: Downsize your fonts, find better use of the menus you have, I aint keen on the homepage picture (seems tacky), try to unify all the pages on your site so the visitor has continuity, member login shouldnt take that much importance as its new customers you need (move login form from current location). The trail you have is good although try to think of an alternative trail so the user has 2 routes they can follow to get the same information. Dont use pop-ups.
I love the idea of the site and think that it is a profitable venture should it be presented in the correct way!
Hope this helps
Thanks
Alex

Hello!

The reminder service that you offer sounds like a great idea. If I understand right it is a reminder service that you e-mail to people to help them to remember to come back to your site??

If that is the case this is a great service, and I am thinking about signing up, especially since you offer a free, no-credit card trial. That is what I found most attractive about the site. The free trial. I am a sucker for free trials. Sticking out tongue

Also, I really like the “Benefits of the Reminder Service” page. In fact, I would suggest taking the first paragraph of your home page and putting that on top of this page-and making the “Benefits” page your home page. I think the way this page is laid out is definitely more attractive than your home page.

In fact, I like every page on your site Except the home page. You know why? The font colors on the rest of the pages are way more consistent, and the color schemes of the pages are very attractive. Something about the home page is “Just not right”. I think that maybe you could have a partial lead on what is now your “Benefits” page to an article that you would want people to “Read More” of, and you would signify that like this (fictitious example not related to your site):

This is a cool product, and this is why. This cool product will help you in a variety of ways. This cool product will definitely make you smart, popular, and will help you make a ton of money. This product is also helpful because it will make you an honest person, and will help people to remember you...

Also, thought I think I have an idea of what the reminder is supposed to be about. I gather it’s kind of like a newsletter alert, but I am not really exactly sure from reading through. I think it is better to state boldly and specifically right away what this product is.

For example, this is a “Cool Product”. The purpose of it is to make you better known. Being as direct and to the point as possible is what people need (as I am writing this I am thinking I should talk my website is not even done yet, and it’s launched already, and in search engines). I hope this helps.

Oh, I should mention I just click on "Take a Tour" to see what else I can find. This is a very useful tool that most sites should have. I am going to see what the big deal is about the reminder right now...

Okay...I went to the tour page...and...this is one thing, no offense, that I find frustrating about alot of sites. Please don't make me register to see a tour. I would be likely to leave as I almost did.

It is better to have a guest username/password demo set up so people can actually see a tour, before they give their personal info. This would be better if you choose to have a tour. This is a great idea though. I can tell.

Sincerely,

Julie

I am concerned that you needed to register in order to see the tour??
It should very well be readily available for all to see??

Thanks for the feedback..

and yes, It is a great tool for any etailer.. my customer like it.. Smiling

I don't mind registering for the product itself-even if it is a free trial. That is a good thing. I just would rather not have to register just for the tour. That's all. If I new how to set up a demo tour I would help you but I have no idea how to do that. Just making a suggestion to not have to make people register for the quick tour.

Hi Remindme,

The trail I took on ur site was...

1. Home
2. Taketour
3. Tour1, 2, 3, 4, 5
4. Register user

I've gotta tell you I love the idea. I think it could sell like hotcakes!Laughing out loud

Criticisms:

First and foremost I don't like the graphics. Sorry, no offense. I come from the packaging world so to me graphics mean everything. Most of the graphics seem to be severely pixilated. On the tour, it appears as if you took screenshots of your product, then pasted them into a program the equivalent of Microsoft Paint. I think that will be a major turnoff for some people as it looks unprofessional.

Secondly there was a point where I was a little confused. The beginning of your tour states, "Click the 'Remind Me' button below". However, I saw a button that was flashing, "Reminder" "Free" "Service". I wasn't sure if that was the "Remind Me" button so I spent some time examining the rest of the page to make sure I wasn't missing anything before I clicked on it. If you are going to call it the "Remind Me" button then you should probably put "Remind Me" on the button. I would make it look just like the actual "Remind Me" button in your software.

Finally, I was a bit dismayed at the duration of the free trial. 3 uses doesn't seem like a long enough evaluation period. It tells me that this guy really doesn't want me to try his product, he just wants to offer something so he can use the "free trial" as a selling point. Then that makes me think that this is not a trustworthy merchant. (I am sure you are trustworthy, I just probably wouldn't think that if I were a potential client).

Hopefully that gives you some ideas. I hope I didn't come across harsh, I'm not sure how to give a meaningful and honest critique without sounding harsh.Wink

I have tried to word this many ways, maybe you can help..

The 3 users on the trial account means that you can view, manage and export only the first 3 records in your account. This DOES NOT means that we stop capturing the information and/or stop reminding these customers..

The reminder service is FREE for Life. The list management portion of the service is the what I am limiting in the trial account.

In other words, user #4,5,6 ect;.. will be captuted & a reminder will be sent but in order for you to manipulate this data you will need upgrade your account.

and once you see the value of the service; YOU WILL .. Smiling

This service is a unique way of capturing TARGETED data....

What constitutes a record? One transaction or one user?

It's the same thing. Any one of your visitors that uses the reminder service becomes a records on your database. The reminder service will work for unlimited users/records..

The true power is in the information that being captured through this mechanism.

It's a win/win... Your visitor wins because they get something they want, you win because you visitor returns at the time of their buying cycle and once you see the value of this application, we all win... Smiling

I hope this help,

Pretty good. Here's some things I noticed:

1. A little larger body. It's a little skinny, so just extend the table out a little farther.
2. More consistent fonts. The main font is fine, but if you could change the fonts for those spaced out lines at the bottom, to one single font, it would help the unity.
3. Link colors. Make the links so that they don't all underline, but change color. It is more attractive.

Thanks for letting me tear apart your site!

All good, I never said I was a graphic artists but I have been implementing all these changes slowly...

I think I might as well hire someone to do this as my customer base increases..
