Yikes! I don't even know where to start with this. It needs a lot of work. The graphics are poor quality, the default font is showing, the colours are bland an unexciting etc. I take it you're aware of the design problems. Hiring a designer to help would be a really good idea, or at least look for a decent template.

The other problem I see here is that the site doesn't really say what kind of racing this is up front. Is this horse racing? Car racing? What type of car racing? Any type? Some pictures as part of the banner graphic or in the center content area would be really helpful. It needs to be more clear what this is and what the user can do here. I see the "Quality Merchandise For The Female RaceFan" header further down - is that all you have on the site? Is that what teh site is about or is this just a part of it? This all needs to be mroe straightforward.

Took a little look at your code - ARGGGHHHHHH! Spacer.gif's! Millions of them! (runs away screaming). Yikes, and font tags too. You really ought to look into more modern design methods. This looks like it was created in 1997. There's a bit of a problem with some of the more prominent HTML tutorial sites and books teaching older design methods. Look for resources on designing with CSS (and make sure the designer you work with knows how to do that).

Whoa....... Megan nailed it. Get a designer Smiling Serious. I read the code and a designer will just start from scratch. Theres no life to this site. This site has potential (the idea behind it) but it will take alot of work. Once again I would of repeated all what Megan said.

Hi, I am new here.
I went and checked your website.
The main page itself made me don't bother to go to the next page.
Try to not put too many banners in it.
Add more content.
We want to race, not lookin at banners.
LoL

One life, live it.

RaceHard would get away with half of the faults, if you can get a lighter, more pleasant color. Also, too many links.; see if you can group several of them into groups so that navigation is more enjoyable experience.

Well. You do have alot of work to do.

-Make subgroups. Way to many links.
-The text on your first page needs to be worked on
-Colors need to be lightened/worked upon. Just try a bunch of combinations but definetely lighten it up.

Anyways, keep it up your site has alot of potential.

First, the good. I like the EAA section. You have good content and the colors are harmonious. Laughing out loud

Second, the homepage colors are unattractive and a poor blend. I am not a technological person so I cannot discuss codes, scripts, etc. but as a impartial viewer, I would suggest conferring with an experienced webmaster.

Cheers,

I havent reviewed your site before so Ill take a look now... first off without scrolling down I noticed you used a CMS, and guessed it right... joomla formerly mambo... the color combo of deep red and gray looks ok, its a good combo like TWF... your site icon doesnt match your current scheme though... Although joomla is a CMS that is already organized, you should take time and limit your links, or menus, try categorizing them. There is no focus at the top, i feel its a little over crowded, if youre a biggining visitor of the site, you get turned-off by not finding what you want or getting the idea what the site provides at a glance... Make your ideas more focused, pay attention to your best content and put it in the front, limit links and remove feautures that are not easily needed... Although I feel youve done a good job on the CMS so far, you need a good logo and customization to make it different than other joomla sites...

So I guess you took the advice from some of the original posts.

Nice and clean now....pretty much a standard Mambo site.

Your site is a bit confusing with all the links it displays. The colors of red on white are probably what your visitors are used to...the color scheme on the racecars show me that...but other then the confusing bundle of links and the contrasing colors I think your site has potential.

As many people already added, the colors need a lot of work. Your current choice of colors are a big turn off.

I'm a joomla / mambo fan so it looks good to me

The front page is a bit busy though, I would look at each part and ask myself "do I really need this on the front page" and "What is the benefit of having this on the front page"

I think personally you have to draw visitors into your site with a clear un cluttered message. imho
