Ok, heres one thing, and i admit, it IS a sort of pet hate with me...
I like bare bone sites, thats what i'm good at as well, i aint one for the bells and whistles of .js .php .asp and all the rest unless its REALLY needed, but your background...
Maybe something not so dazzling? a lighter shade of grey does work wonders for visitors eyes
I feel kind of small when I look at it... expand it some, align it left or right, or put some sort of decoration around the sides...
it is kind of plain, maybe a gray background would work, like katie_venvra suggested...
Any of these scams taken from other sites??
or are they all ones that you found out?

Put it directly AFTER the tag that looks like this...
You should then see your site with a light grey background...
I've done it so that your kind of purply text remains that purply colour when you add that peice of code...
