The colours, such as they are, were required to match the pre-existing publicity/newsletters, etc.

The navigation and layout are 'complete', but there's far more content to be added once the overall design is finalised.

Final version will run faster as the scripts/style will be external.

1) Move the picture of Mr. Soknacki down a little bit from the top grey bar. It's just a little too close for my personal taste. Another idea which may be good is to work the picture of him in more with the text logo. That would make it look really stylish and professional.

2) I really don't think you need the mouseover pop-up box, but if you feel it's needed then it doesn't hurt the page at all. I just don't think it's necessary.

3) I don't really like how on the left side of the page the small boxes with the picture keep repeating. That part just looks empty to me. Why not try moving the menu over to that area? Although the menu does look good where it is, it may benefit the whole page if the menu is on the left side.

I like the page overall though. Very nice, simple, and professional.

I wasn't 100% sure about those 'mouseover boxes' myself, but I thought I'd try it out. Not a lot of overhead involved once the script is external.

Menu on the left was a consideration (and that design hasn't been discarded yet). Once I put the menu at the top, I needed 'something' on the left. Little boxes and David's pic as a tiled background was the best I could come up with.

I think it looks very good. The logo might be a bit 2 big though.

The mouseover box is quite cool actually. Smiling

However, at one look, the site looks a little plain.

Good Overall design. Its very proffesional. Just a few small things:

1. The box image thing on the left is a little low. It would look better if it was even with the text (a little higher). But since it is a background image, I dont know how easy that would be.

2. The top grey table is pointless, because it provides no content. Most people know what day it is, and the fact that he is a City of Toronto Councillor, could be included on the bottom of the logo.

3. Just a thought: You might want to include a title image for all the pages and make it appear as if it is coming out of the dotted line, like a dotted box around the letter. Know what mean?

Hope that helped!

Looks good! Very professional looking, yet stylish at the same time. A couple of things:

The image with the little boxes should not be a background. It's weird how it repeats on some pages and gets cut off sometimes too. I agree that it should be moved up to go just under the bigger picture.

The photo of Mr. Soknaki should be flipped the other way - in the photo his shoulders are angled so he's sort of facing the edge of the page. He should be facing the interior of the page, so the viewers eye is drawn to the site content rather than the edge of the window.

Something needs to go at the bottom of the page just to frame the content a little better. Maybe another row of red dots would be fine for that.

I like the design a lot -- the only thing I would change is maybe adding some kind of background to the grey strip at the top of the page...

Beside the logo, theres a mass or white. Fill it in with something, maybe move the picturee of Soknacki in there and take out the image with the boxes in it.

The mouseover boxes on the links are cool.
